I have been using viparspectra for a few years both the ks and xs series are good budget friendly lights. And yes they definately work. They seem to be the best of the main budget lights available but i could be wrong as there are alot of companies reeling in people who want to grow their own.

This is my recent grow using the uni-t lux meter from sprout to finish

Get one of these photone is rubbish! very inacurate ive been using this uni-t lux meter for years and its a much better way of measuring light distance and intensity. You use a conversion equation to convert lux into ppfd i consider it just as important as a decent ph meter.

Thats sounds very interesting. and the t5 is just for heat as the led is feeding the plants its kind of a waste of resources and power but as long as they are warm the outcome is usually worth it.

I use my t5 fixture and seedling mat for germination but also for extra heat while there young and the led is on a lower percentage works well in colder months and keeps humidity in an acceptable range i find oil heaters make things a bit dry even when iin the lung room.
