I haven’t grown any of the F1’s yet and probably not likely to as I’m not a fan of autos.
I have however grown a few from RQS and as a breeder I can’t say I was that impressed.
From memory I did the green gelato (I think?) and it was a bit….meh.
Then I did the Lemon shining silver haze and ALL...
Honestly, I know some people are bullshitters or just mistaken on grow forums and such… haha and I respect your experience as a grower, but honestly they were incredibly sticky, in a way I’ve never experienced before. I’ve grown quite a few different varieties and defoliate a shit load of plants...
Yes, I think generally speaking the smell in veg (although not reflective of the ‘real’ smell of the finished flowers) is a really good indication that something might give favourable results. But as some have mentioned, more often than not the lack of smell in veg is not necessarily indicative...
Okay so another update. Not that anyone seems bothered hahaha
But it would appear that in this instance the strong smell in veg was somewhat of an indication of just how sticky, triched out and ultimately… and perhaps most importantly, how terpy and potent the bud was.
This stuff smoked...
Slurricane #7
Frosty but no proper bud, poor yield.
I only popped one seed to be fair, other phenos with big dense buds and this amount of frost would be amazing no doubt.
So… incase anyone was interested how these Slurricane #7’s came out?
Well, probably some of the most frosty girls I’ve ever had. Good right? And somewhat validates my hunch no?
Well, nothing is straightforward with cannabis genetics because although this particular pheno of Slurricane #7 is...
Yeah thanks, the nutrient solution I use in the reservoir is brown, it’s Shogun ‘start’ obviously it’s dilute but the neat stuff is very dark so I’m not surprised the roots could look a little stained.
Typically how long do clones take to recover from transplanting?
They looked very healthy when they came out of the cloner, nice big roots and I think I transplanted them carefully enough, although they did flop quite badly for a day or so, then perked up a little after thatbut they don’t appear...
Oh wow! That’s interesting, the males smelling stronger, in this instance these are feminised seeds, so it’s highly unlikely, at least I hope it’s not a male.
fingers crossed for your sour ripper too! :)
I take your point & iappreciate sap and resin aren’t the same thing but as much as any other plants I’ve grown smelled during veg and such, the sap on this actually gums my fingers together and is visible! (Not exactly brown but there’s some discolouration) I’ve never seen that before.
I’m...
I’ve often heard it said that there truly isn’t any way of being able to determine a keeper, purely from attributes in the vegetative stage.
I’m reaching out to experienced growers to give their take on good signs in veg that paid off.
Now I know people look for different criteria too but I’m...
