doing a grow in an Earthbox and was annoyed at the cover so I removed it. Went without mulch everything was fine though once I topdressed, it made sense to mulch. I did so and noticed a few weeks later the plant send feeder roots right up to the surface of the mulch. It also sends big fat roots...

one, maybe two variables changed at any time at the most. I make too many changes and not know which are actually impactful ones and which are not. As I figured this out, I’ve been able to understand a lot more. if you do too much in a small amount of time, your just throwing darts.

this red strawberry banana has this going on, was just the fan leaves…now looks like the main stem slowly.

Is this a cal/mag deficiency? about day 25-27 for the ones these leaves are from. They have been in a mix of OF/HF and given light amounts of organic nutrients (Cold War Organics).

yea, this thread really was a game changer for me as well…I’m no pro and don’t know the science too well but it’s just more common for plants under led’s to run into a cal/mag (not even sure which) deficiency vs. other types of lights. LED’s are still the way to go though IMO. As far as runoff...

trimmed just the bottom ones, they were soaked after watering and just looked rough…maybe I’ll just cut the lip off of the pot it’s in for airflow, rearranged the tent a little as well. Pot was super light too…I did not take into acct the increasing rate she would be drinking at as she grows...

shoebox on one side for height of the others, humidifier on the right, also there is a bit too much space for soil in the pot, could they not be getting air flow? Can I just cut em?

temps have been 79-81, RH around 50%

Fuuuuu, I freaked and cooled it a bit, I’ll get it back up some, they have seemed really happy at around 82F give or take…Thanks @hotrodharley
