Im leaning more towards pvc pipes or darkroom vents, but the darkroom vents are expensive, so i have to figure out how to make a stealth pvc pipes lite trap
Im still debating on how to put the intake holes and make it as stealth as possible. I decided to get a 6 inch inline fan instead of a 4 inch, so i need two 6 in nch intake holes, im brainstorming about how to make them light tight and stealthy at the same time before i build the cabinet.
My original plan was to put the filter and fan in the middle of the cabinet, that way i will have place of the right and left next to them for the lights.
Then i started seeing that most tents have the lights below the filter and fan, this will make me lose about a feet of headroom but its fine...
Lebanon, so stealth is a very important factor for me. 4 inch fans and filters fit perfectly for my plan, however if i want to upgrade to 6 inch later i will have to space difficulties, so i need to make the decision up front. Do you think that extra feet height is worth it? Or i sacrifice it...
The filter will be in the middle of the cab, that way the two QB96 can hang right next to it. I have 6.10 feet height and adding a carbon filter horizontally will make me lose about one foot, nothing noticeable but i would rather gain that 1 foot on my plants, thats why i decided to go with the...
I said im going to add a fan and carbon filter in the middle of tue cabinet. If everything goes as planned the cabinet should look nothing like a grow cabinet.
The back side will be against a wall, next to a door. I was thinking about placing them on the back but with a goor look you will be able to spot them. Unless its a big 8 inch hole in the middle back of the cabinet.
So i think on the floor is better. Dont you think is better to raise it more...
Lower back side on the floor right? Not on the back wall of the cabinet since it will be placed against a wall and i think that would hinder airflow effectivess.
I understand what you mean, but stealth is a factor also. If you stand next to the cabinet and look you will be able to see the intake holes, i live in a country where stealth is extremely important.
Having intake holes on the floor and exhaust from the ceiling is not a good idea?
The back of the cabinet will be placed against a wall so i was thinking that if i place the intake holes on the low back of the cabinet like in design 2 it will restrict airflow?
I am leaning towards design 1 but i am not sure about its effectiveness, the cabinet will be lifted 4 inches off the...
I am designing a 2x4 wooden grow cabinet, it will be powered by two HLG QB96, and i want to be sure to design it right and create the best grow environment. I am having a hard time deciding on ventilation holes placement, i have two designs in mind and i want to know which is the most effective...
I prefer to ventilate both areas separately since im planning on building one big plant in veg and i dont want to run with humidity problems.
Or maybe exhaust the two areas using one inline fan and a y duct splitter?
Where i live in the winter its very cold and in the summer its very hot.
Im not really worried about the smell of vegging plants as long as flowering plants are taken care of, but i want to create the best environment for my plants in every stage in their life. Do i need extraction in veg and...
This setup is meant to be stealth or else i wouldve gone bigger than 2x4.
Do i need a carbon filter in the veg section?
I was thinking of a carbon filter on top of the flower section, with venting holes at the bottom of flower, veg, and clones with fans running inside each section. But what...
