i have a cream caramel in a 5 gal dwc bucket have done 3 res changes so far with no issues. she has been growing good for about 3.5 weeks with no problems as well. today i cleaned out the res with dawn dish soap (as usual) and added nutrients and h202 to the res and put plant back in. 15 min...

I have gotten this same gunk in my DWC black buckets. I assure u no light is getting in there. i have no idea what it could be. I read the thread breeding bennies..sounds like a good idea i just dnt understand how organic teas work with chemical nutes?

yup. spray the leaves dwn a couple times a day. clones love humidity as well. i reveg back to 24/7 from abt 2 weeks in flower often. never have problems with the plants. just give em a lil time. cheers

hey v.j. definately sounds like mold or fungal activity goin on in ur grow. whats humidity levels in ur room and what are u doing as far as ventilation?. also whats ur medium nd grow details etc... but if it in fact is fungus or mold ur not going to have any choice but to cut early nd salvage...

just sounds like maturity to me. u have to remember clones are an exact replica of its donor age and geneticly. U can take a clone anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks veg until abt 4 to 5 weeks into flower. If the clones u have were previously in flower then just put them under 24/7 for abt 2 weeks and...

i use the 60 -100x scopes. just way easier to get a good look with out hurting those old peepers. U are going to want to be able to accurately determine the slight color changes of the trichs. especially if u grow sativa strains. hope it helps.

the one thing i dnt get as a newb to dwc is if ur sitting the buckets in a pool (chiller shown above with water bottles) that will definately cause algea and other airborne pathogens that surely are not beneficial to plant growth. I have been really fighting rez temps with my single rez setups...

I have read up a little bit about using the buckets in a multiple bucket system using a controller bucket for the res but im not really catching on to it..maybe its the buzz ;). lol. but if anyone has a setup like this and can shed some light on the pros and cons. or anyother dwc d.i.y systems...

thanks for the reply guys...as for the bucket temporarily have it in a clear tote with cool water and ice bottles. i figured it would be bad for the roots to touch the ice in the bottles? just my theory. point me out if wrong. the temps have seemd to drop to abt 71 -73 but im still worried. I...
