    Window A/C???

I agree about very large commercial grows, but this guy is talking about a tent lol. I think the benefits of air cooling are "worth it" for smaller grows and the benefits of open air bulbs are "worth it" for large, 20+ light grows.

First of all... Marijuana Resin & THC An Excerpt from Marijuana Grower's Insider's Guide Resin itself, or an abundance of resin glands, is not a good indictator of potency. A mj variety may have copious amounts of resin and still be nearly worthless for smoking; another variety may have little...

    Window A/C???

The inverse square law negates the whole glass lumen loss. Even if you lose 10% light through the glass, your bulbs will be HOT and you wont be able to get the bare bulbs anywhere near where you can get an air cooled hood. Remember every time you double the light distance from the plants your...

    Fighting pythium

If you want to run beneficial, make "the tea". Sterile, I run chlorine (hypochlorous acid) at 2ppm in my cloners from the day I put cuts in and they roots are always fine so I'm sure you can use it for seedlings.

    Window A/C???

Your going to leak more air through your ductwork. When it comes to sealing a room I've learned a few things. Air tight reflectors are not air tight. Run a fan blowing INTO your complete light cooling setup and seal off the exhaust end. Feel around the edges of the glass and any duct connection...

    Window A/C???

Don't forget about the ballasts. If you have your digitals in the room they are another 1-2k BTU each. The setup I did was 2 10x10 rooms......6 1kw air cooled lights and 1 70pint/day dehumidifier in each room...both rooms had a 24,000BTU AC. One room I mounted the 6 digi ballasts in the room...

    pistols are turning amber prematurely!?

Looks like root issues/stress to me. I had a bad fungus gnat problem and they were eating the roots badly, the buds didn't fill in at all (yours look very small for 4/9 weeks) and the pistils turned amber around week 5, my guess is because they plant is afraid it's dying so it's trying to mature...

Random nectrotic regions, CNS17 in Coco

Have gotten this the past 3 veg runs, this time it's worse. It fits a few deficiency pics, mainly Mg-, but I know I have enough Mg and the pH is alright. Any thoughts? 83watts/sq-ft (4000w in 8x6 room) Metal Halide 75F-82F Day, 65F-70F Night 1500ppm CO2 controlled during lights on House and...

Fungus Gnats in numbers more than just a nuisance?

I have read that if you have a "phantom deficiency" meaning all your bases are covered when it comes to nutrients and pH and environment, you might have root issues, especially aphids. I have also read over and over "fungus gnats are just a nuisance, not a damaging insect". I think this might...

Basement grow- dirty furnace filter ruined it

Probably just didn't have good air EXCHANGE. Sure you were moving air around, but probably were not exchanging enough to let CO2 levels stay at least at ambient. Who knows though. Glad they are happy again!

Hanging entire plant vs. Individual stems/colas.

I hate hanging the plant. It gets "soggy" and so hard to trim. I've done it so many different ways with reviews from my patients and I found it doesn't really matter how you trim, as long as you dry properly. Now, I fully trim everything before drying, cut up all the big buds into smaller ones...
