So lets say the rosin alone doesn’t work. How would I separate the terpenes from the cannabis essential oil in order to mix with the rosin?

So if I have some rosin made from hash, should I just make distillate some cannabis to get the essential oil and mix it with the rosin? Or is there another process to separate the terpenes from the essential oil and then mix the terpenes with the rosin?
