Plants that are relatively small I have seen people put mosquito netting over and it keeps the moths that make bud worms from laying eggs. Outdoors you will see some bugs, I don't sweat them myself. Often nature will take care of aphids with lady bugs.

Sometimes you can tape and tie plants back together! I had the top 4 feet of a plant break over in a storm a few years ago, but it managed to live to harvest!

I have a Salvisa cross that is doing very well against the septoria! This is the worst out break I have had in 7 years, despite multiple sprayings of sulfur and Cease. Most of the plants probably won't make. Will breed with the resistant plant and look at those seeds next summer.

I agree! I think clone availability in conjunction with seed stashes will bring additional interesting genetics to light! Especially if we can get some killer male clones!
