    Baker's Best: take 3

You had some nute burn going on earlier in the grow. I think the frequent salt/nute additions combined with getting too dry is causing you problems. There isn't really a good reason to flush soil (coco grows are the only ones that ever need it). I'd relax on the nutes a tad, and keep that soil...

    Baker's Best: take 3

Totally agree. I'd also throw flowering time into the equation. Typically a variety claiming to be nearly pure sativa that flowers in 10 weeks or less is going to be a different beast than a 14-20 week sativa. Effect is also a bit confusing. Generally I like stuff that doesn't leave me feeling...

I would like some info from some old heads on how things were done in the late 80s and early 90s.

Lol yep, my first grow light was an hps fixture that you'd mount on the side of a building. I remember going into the store with a hat, sunglasses, and paid in cash. Buying equipment and/or seeds was really paranoia inducing at the time. I vaguely recall some of the websites, like the old OG...

Who's got the best sativa(s) right now?

Also going to vote for High & Lonesome. He had a nice release of crosses featuring Mango Haze from Wally Duck stock, and lots of other cool gear too. I personally picked up these from his MH drop A5 x MH Electric Boogaloo x MH Chem D x MH And more recently his SSH F5 I'd also throw...

He's used more than one. AJ's and Notsodog's for sure, but I'd bet there were others too.

Ebb & Flow Table Drain - Reservoir Not Under Table

A little pricey, but this would probably work very well for what you're trying to do...

    seconds timer for irrigation?

I know you already bought something, but I use two of these to set my schedule (@lights on, 1-2 minutes on, 8-9 minutes off to allow saturation of medium. This cycle runs 3 times, and then off for the remainder of the 24 hrs)

    3rd Coast Genetics?

40% is pretty lousy for any pack of seeds. Vast majority of packs I've ran were closer to 80-90%, with many being 100%. Older packs can see some decline in germ rates. I've come across a few "dud" packs, with a lot of stall-outs and/or no-shows. I think it can be genetic, but can certainly be...

    OG Kush Phenotypes

None of the "pure" (for lack of a better word) OG cuts are short/bushy. They're all stretchy/lanky/viney. I think some of the closely related hybrids might have a better structure. Like Motorbreath, Topanga, Megawellness, BTY, etc. I'm not that familiar with these but from what I understand...

    Marks on the leaves

You'll see variegation frequently in plants with Chem, Haze, or OG lineages (and I'm sure there's others too) Most commonly I see it on young seedlings that quickly outgrow it. They look very similar to the variegation you're seeing. Other plants, like the chems, og's, hazes, tend to express...

    Marks on the leaves

It's just variegation. It's common to see it on young seedlings, and often they outgrow it. Some plants only express it, or express it more, when it's unhappy with pH or whatever you're feeding it, etc. Long story short, it isn't something to stress over too much.

I said LIGHTS OUT! (Another how effed are my gals, noob post?)

Yeah one or two slip ups like that during flower won't cause any harm, usually. The stability of the genetics is a big factor. Unstable plants will herm at the slightest opportunity. Stable genetics shouldn't skip a beat.
