Over here by Penobscot Bay it was cookin' pretty good this week. It was over 70 at dawn one morning. Cooled down a couple nights lately but then as soon as the sun climbed up it was scorching again. Weird thing was there was hardly any dew in the mornings. Not sure I've ever seen the soil so...

That's a drag. Hope it gets fixed for you. Strange it's not affecting me (that I can tell anyway). So how your plants handling the heat this week?

Not noticing any weirdness here...are you getting some sort of error? How you managing the drought? It's the Sahara here in Knox County, soil is bone dry. Been irrigating out of our brook but that's about to go dry if we don't get some rain. Don't mind some dry weather at the very end of...

An OG grower in Mendocino who's been at it since the Stone Age said his are really late to show and small too--been unusually cool and damp apparently. I guess that's the answer. Still seems odd to be at 10+ weeks and nothing showing.

Heads up @thumper60, looks like heavy T-storms headed your way now: Hot and sticky here in Knox County, those storms are supposed to get here later this afternoon. Is anyone else having trouble sexing their plants? I started mine first week of April and many are STILL not showing. Very late!

That's interesting--I had a bunch go into flower back in May, about half a dozen of the Cherry Wines, never seen that before. They're still flowering away, I figured as we approached the solstice they'd stop and revert to veg. But I have zero experience with flowering outside of the normal...

    Is DoubleJJ still around ?

Glad to see all's well with you. How's the pup doing? Just curious, is the downscaling a result of current market conditions in California? Is this a permanent shift for you? I've heard of so many growers out there calling it quits that past couple years.

Sorry man, that's a heartbreaker. I was out at 6am watering and mulching some recent transplants this morning, I was dripping sweat in minutes and that's before the sun was even hitting the field. Ugh. Tomorrow is going to be hell.

Should I mulch my marijuana plant?

Yes! Keeps the root zone cool on those scorching hot days and retains moisture. Also makes a great habitat for soil life--just peek under the mulch after it's been down a while and you'll see what I mean.

Will they continue to flower in the lengthening days though? I don't really do light depo here....

Looking good @thumper60 as always. Seeing some potentially violent thunderstorms on the radar just now (4:30p Friday) and NWS in Gray warning about high wind potential tonight: Say, speaking of flowering in June, 4 of my Cherry Wine hemp plants started flowering last week. They were under...

Looking good. Still seems so odd to see plants flowering away as we head into the longest days of the year. Just the genetics, I guess. So I had a couple little wrinkles but all part of the game, right? First, one of the "Northern Kush" seedlings (Northern Lights #5 x Pine Tree Kush) succumbed...

Arghh, that sucks. But like folks are saying, the plant may come roaring back tougher than ever. We had a groundhog living under the back porch this spring. I tried a Havahart trap and after a few false starts managed to trap him and relocate the bugger. Something to consider anyway. The .22...

They are going to flower right through the summer solstice? That's wild. Those are photoperiod plants, right, not autoflowers? Batten down the hatches @thumper60 we got a nor'easter header our way later today. NWS actually mentioned snow in the mountains. This morning it was low forties here in...
