Spreading knowledge.... learning a thing or two in the process..

if you get an air cooled hood it will drop temperatures dramatically. if you have a 4x8 area 2 1000's would be ideal. as long as the hoods are air cooled and you are venting the exhaust out of the room it should drop temps a lot. also bring in fresh cooler air from out of the room if you could..the positive air flow would keep the temps low. also have few oscillating fans to keep the air moving. i live in the desert so i have to use air cooled hoods. but for 12 plants 1 1000 will do fine depending on how big your grow them..just dont veg for too long or that wont be enought light.. i keep 36 plants under a 1000, but its an aeroflo, and i veg for 5 days. hope this helps..if you need more advice hit me up.

also how do you have your intake setup?

the key to tent growing is having awesome exhaust/intake. i have a 8"(cant remember the cfm) sucking air through the hood, a 6" vortek bringing fresh air in..ive even shoved ducting up in the ac vent from the room and connected it to my intake fan so i can bring the central ac into the tent..ive had portable ac's before, and they kick out mad heat and take tons of electricity. and when the lights are on i open the tent anyway..the only time i leave it closed is when i know im not gonna be around to zip it back up when it goes dark.
