Took down the last Tashqurghan plant yesterday. It stayed pretty resistant to septoria and rot affected branches and not really the flowers. Sticky and was just starting to show a few amber trichomes here and there.

This Chitrali will be going soon, I’ve whittled the leaves with leaf spot down so there isn’t much vegetative support for the flowers left. I will say that for a landrace hash plant it has very firm and solid colas -

Looks good! Sorry about the rest of your crop. My big disease of concern this year is Septoria leaf spot. Haven’t seen any rot yet, I’m wondering if the drought from mid August to mid September slowed that plague down - not that I’m complaining.

Finally here are this year’s slowpokes, two Tashqurghan, Afghanistan females that are just now showing buttons. The lanky one has been quite impacted with the leaf spot, but the very green rounded plant has really been the best performer in my garden against that particular plague. These...

The two Karakoram females are also doing pretty well and should finish in 3 or 4 weeks, I’m seeing a bit of leaf spotting on those but most of it seems to be connected with natural aging as they get into flower. One observation I did make was that when one of their branches partially broke away...

Hope everyone has been enjoying the very dry weather the past few weeks. The Chitrali female finally has shown some vulnerability to Septoria, so I’ve been whittling away some of the colas that were affected in the hopes that I can get another week out of those, and a couple more weeks out of...

Hope everyone’s gardens are doing well. No real damage from hailstorm and high winds a week ago. Still waiting for one Tashqurghan plant to declare sex. Slowest strain ever to flower, so far there are two females that have preflowered, one male that already has flowered and been chopped, and one...

Vaguely annoying year here. Too much septoria on the Tashqurghan and too many male Karakoram. And still waiting for 3 Tashqurghan to show definitive sex. Funny though that the confirmed female Tashqurghan and the one I suspect is female are actually keeping the septoria mostly in check. Anyway...

Hope everyone’s garden is doing well. The Karakoram landraces had massive growth over the past month, 4 of them are taller than any previous plants have been at this time. I was hoping not to have crazy tall plants like last year but who knows - The Tashqurghan are doing well too - Ended...

Plants starting to take off in the last week. Seeing some septoria so pulled a bunch of spotted lower leaves and sprayed with copper sulfate, hopefully the dry weather the next few days will help too. Bugs also doing some damage, will hit with Azamax spray later today, always a challenge…

Off the windowsill and into the ground yesterday, glad I didn’t water! It was time as the roots were filling the keg cups. Running Tashqurghan from Afghanistan and Chitrali and two different Karakoram range from Pakistan.

Thanks for the kind words, Stealth. Due to her herding lineage she was an ass grabber, not an arm biter lol

True story - about a year after I got this bitch sent over from Germany as a 9 week old pup, I was over at the neighbors having a beer. Guy says hey have you met the woodchucks? I said nope. Guy says they come right up on the lawn within ten feet of our elderly Portuguese Water Dog, no fear at...

Looking good! Years ago I had to run PVC underground from the house spigot out to the fenced-in garden as a hose conduit, to keep one of my asshole German Shepherds from shredding the hose lol My plants are mostly doing OK, started seeds 4-1. Here are two varieties from the Karakoram Range in...

10-11 weeks is about right for Balkh strains. I’m willing to push the envelope with slower strains because most of it goes to hash anyway.
