I think it's a matter of preference. Some people like mixed spectrum all the way through and some people think mh for veg and hps for flower. I'm sure you will see mixed responses.

Mine is a pretty big one. It would be perfect size to grow one or 2, 2-3 ft tall plants. The only thing stopping it from being a grow box now is my girl. Haha we might need it in the future blah blah blah. Women....

Have the money for hps. But my girlfriend doesn't want me to get too into growing so I'm stuck with cfl's :(. But if she ever leaves the picture then I'll have a good setup. Also don't have a space to grow with hps that wouldn't make the temps sky high.

^ agreed. You can get 2 rubbermaid tubs and make a way better setup. That's what I'm doing next unless I convert my old mini fridge into a grow box :)

You could top and LST. Or top and LST and scrog. Next time maybe you could try mainlining? I've only read a small amount on it but it seems to be super awesome and makes so many colas. It's beautiful. Good luck!

And soil can yield just as much as hydro in my opinion, it just takes longer to get the same yield. But seeing as time isn't a problem, I believe soil is an easier route once the plant has started growing. No checking ppm, or EC, or worrying about air pumps going bad. Simply just water.
