I just got a 70 watt Metal Halite bulb for my plants and have been giving them 12/12 hour a day lighting but now the stems look like they are drying up starting from the roots and moving up towards the leaves. What can I do to save my plants?

Thanks man. I bent them over and switched them to 12/12 lighting. Do I need to get a different light bulb for the flowering stage and if so what do I need and where can I get it??? Thanks
