  • Is the Light foot print for these T-5's 4ft x 4ft (someone told me, or is it dimensions of actual light? if so I was thinking of (4) to cover veg, and (2) for moms & clones.

I know I have a lot of questions on here, but I want to get some opinions, before I pull the trigger next week on all my equipment. All responses greatly appreciated.SG
(I have option of other strains that are more mature mothers, including G-13 to get 1st (32) veg going, or could let them veg mature a bit more than (4) weeks if needed.

My Veg/Mother/Clone room (20 amp 120 going to this room) : I have always used 400 wt MH for Veg, but Sparky quashed me last night on what he thought. That I cannot run (4) - (8) 400 wt MH for veg, so I had to turn my thinking around, and now running into the "T-5" question. Since I have no other option (suggestions ?)I am a little skeptical on T-5 for my Veg, & would want to get the best w/ reflector, I would either get the "NEW WAVE" or the "TEK-LIGHT" Sunlight Supply 4Ft (8) bulb 6500k lamps (or would "SUN BLAZE" suffice?)
My veg room would be "staggered" every (2) weeks putting (32) into veg (from cloning) and depending on (4) weeks or up to (8) weeks veg, my idea was to harvest (32) every 2 weeks on a perpetual cycle. I initially set up this plan, and this is what I have on the table with my investor, and needing to see if I'm realistic, or what outcome anyone could estimate. I know strains have a play in this, I'm open to options, I have started (16) moms g-13 (7-8 week flower cycle) to get about (4) weeks old to take (2) cuttings per to start my 32 in veg.
I will be scrubbing my air with Charcoal filter/ filter, was planning on using 8" can fan with appopriate size filter for cfm's. I don't know if I need to utilize the "air cooled XXXl's, on a seperate can fan system, was thinking not, if I can maintain 70-75 degrees with out. (thoughts?) My thoughts were to Veg for 30-45 days then bounce into flower. I have never grown big plants, and need to know how many I can get into this flowering space, if I were to veg that long, and if it is worth it to get em that big. I would like to get 8oz. per plant (conservative guess??) My thinking was to be able to get 128 plants in this area (how off am I, if any).
Master timer box for lights & H20 system (suggestion?). I need some advise on which direction to go as far as the H20 system. I have heard from freinds that have heard of grows w 55 gallon drums in 5 gallon buckets with soil, and setting up a drip line for saturating soil for watering/feeding every couple days. I have seen at the grow store a complete set up 55 gallon drum eb & flo wick watering 5 gallon buckets system. (or if any other recommendation could be made differently) If I were to go with 5 gallon systems, I would frame out 1ft-2ft tables for buckets to be on above the floor (no expensive 4x8 trays) I will be using C02, haven't ever, doesn't seem to be to complicated, was thinking (2) tanks/ regulators. Nutrients I plan on using is "Hollands Secret" line (heard very comparable to Advanced, but cheaper) Money is not an issue, and if I need to go Advanced full line, so be it. I want to maximize this area, and need advise on plant space.
I have had my electrician over last night, & I have 100amp sub box already in place (15 amps already in use for "sump pump, basement lights & (1) receptacle) to draw from (3 year old built home) He is on the conservative side, (sparky doesn't want to max out breakers/circuits) He is going to be running 240 to Flower room along with 110. but this is what I have in mind: (8) Sunlight Supply 1000wt HPS Magnum XXXL 8" air cooled lamps w/ 240 volt Ballasts (Ballasts I Don't know about electric or traditional?, also, ballasts will be on outside of basement, so no extra heat issue in room) (Can I fit (10) 1000wt, to achieve my plant count of 128??. H20 System I was thinking would be Eb & Flo drip system 55 gallon drums, 5 gallon buckets wick system watering (pumps/airstone/heaters in 55 gallon drums (How many would I need?) (4) 10" wall mount osclolating fans, concrete floors will be covered in "roofing 1/4 in base sheet peel and stick".
I plan to build out structures within this basement to control environment. Flower room: Framing out 17ft x 27ft x 10ft high ceilings. Veg/mother/ clone same construction 10ft x 18ft x 10 ft high ceilings (16" centered framing on both rooms) Once framed, I will be using 3/4 in 4x8 insulated reflection board on all walls & ceiling & foil taped at all "seams" to "seal environment".
    Grow Room - 17ft x 27ft Flower room & 10ft by 18ft Veg/mother/clone room set up/ advise please:

I'm in my space as of yesterday and starting my build out on Saturday. Here is my "plan", and would greatly appreciate any advise from fellow growers. This is my first posting, on a forum. I have grown before, late 90's, Hydro set up eb & flo tables, SOG in a much smaller space than this one ie: (2 1000wt hps (2) 3x3 table/reservoirs, (1) 400 MH) This venture I'm partaking on is a bigger room, and my thoughts are as follows:

I have (50) caregivership rights which allows me to have a total of (300) plants (if need be). The way "Amend 20 is set up in Colorado, (3) in flower & (3) in Veg. I'm in a Basement, with 10ft high ceilings. Since I have never grown in dirt (besides mothers) I need advice of a couple of areas. I will layout my rooms and what I have in mind, any advise would be greatly appreciated, as to "Medium I should use", "lighting suggestions" etc.
