Plan was to switch over to plain water for the last week or two. I ended up getting stuck out of town for a few days and what I had thought was just coloring from the nutes the week before, now looks more like root rot. The plant even has a few leaves that are dead.
As soon as I noticed this I...
I lost the paper that had the date that I went to 12/12. To make it worse I also lost track of how many res changes I have done. This is my first dwc and I really do not want to ruin a good thing by messing up the harvest.
The majority of the hairs are white and under the scope there are...
Well no ill effects removing the males.
Ended up with one female bubbledust plant.
I've been using cfl's, 18 gal rubbbermaid res, one larger air stone and four smaller blocks, tap water ph'd, 2 part flora nova nutes, some bud blood and floranectar.
I want to say that she is 5 weeks into...
What is the right way to remove a male from a dwc setup?
Since the roots tangle, I wasn't sure if it is ok to just cut the males roots at the bottom of the net pot and then just leave the remaining roots in the water? Otherwise I'm worried about messing with the roots of a healthly female.
Picked up a ppm meter and ph test strips.
I have four 4 inch air stones, each directly under the a pot that will run off a tetra whisper 100. I also have a 12 inch air stone running right down the middle that is hooked up to a second pump.
Flora nova grow and flower nutes are on the way as...
I got a tetra whisper 100, 4 four inch airstones, and the necessary tubing. I figured that I can always add the other air pump and 12 inch bubbler for more air.
So is the two part flornova nutes a good idea for a noob? I wanted something that is some what easy and forgiving.
Also will a...
Ok, well I've been doing more reading and was almost going to say F it and continue with soil....and then I find out that my buddy has a "hydro kit" that he bought from fleabay. He can't use it because he moved and has no room to grow. I offered him twenty bucks and he said sure.
It looks...
I'm going to do a 18 gallon rubbermaid. What pump would you guys suggest? I'm thinking that for this size setup I'll need two air stones. I'd like something that is on the quiet side that will provide enough air to get the job done.
Soil has been my friend so far but I'm thinking about trying a hydro grow. I'm new to the terms and probably looking up the wrong info.
I saw a rubbermaid system that was pretty much just a container that had net pots and two of the air stones used in fish tanks. Obviously I'll need nutes, ph...
No, I was only using those to start the seeds. Once anything popped up out of the soil I was moving them. Nothing else fits in the seed starter kit I used.
I use 3 gal potting bags.
I've had bad luck with the lowlife seeds. 10 pack of white russian = 1-9 and that ended up barely growing and died off.

Either I just suck, or got a bad batch.
Germ method: Soak in cup of water for 10-12 hrs then move into jiffy pelets in a tray with a clear lid. I use...
