Since you are in soil, any sort of dry amendment or compost tea fix will have a delayed effect. Not saying this is not a great route, it will just take some time. If you want to get that plant healthy as quickly as possibly, make sure your ph is on, grab a liquid nutrient like Pure Blend Pro...

I have had similar experiences. BUT, I have never kept a mother past the 3 year mark. My money says you can't keep a plant past a decade without the mother plant starting to lose vigor...some strains even less. Regardless of care. Anything past five years old I would really consider cloning out...
