Will a brighter LED light improve the frostiness of the bud?

I think there ARE LED fixtures that can produce an HPS "color"....but without the heat associated with an HPS bulb. But since the HPS color isn't the most efficient for generating plant response, no one wants an LED to produce an HPS color. The irony of that is that the heat from an HPS bulb is...

Will a brighter LED light improve the frostiness of the bud?

Typically, I try to grow 4 different genetics on each run. All I can do is to try and provide a healthy and consistent climate as possible. The plants have to do the rest. Whatever I grow is grown in the same environmental conditions, but the plants are always variable. So there's no way to...

HLG Original Scorpion Diablo or 600w Ushio HPS

Short answer: No. If you're used to running plants under HPS, then LED is going to be a bit different. You have to make adjustments and compensations from one to the other. LEDs are more efficient and save some money on the electricity bill....but you can also save on electrical costs by using...

3 days after began curing, 55% humidity, emergency evacuation, can I leave jars closed?

Yeah, it's unfortunate to have such an emergency when it's the most crucial time of all to create absolutely perfect conditions. The only proper way to cure the buds is to create a 60/60 environment with slight air movement and allow the plants to hang dry for 14 or more days in those...

    Welp

I've had watering issues when using fabric pots at times. What would happeni is that the outer perimeter of the soil inside the fabric pot would dry out MUCH quicker than when using a traditional plastic garden pot and I'd get all kinds of weird symptoms of things that looked like deficiencies...

LIME green, can she be saved, and how so if??!

It's almost always a matter of pH lockout. No idea what Lowe's potting soil is....but my guess is probably not great....and likely to be acidic (since most people who would buy potting soil from Lowe's are probably using it to start their tomatoes). I'd like to see the label on that bag to check...

    looking for terps!

If you like LIME terps, then I'd recommend "Slymer" from Bob Bitchen. It's very, very terpy. I think the strain originates from a phenotype of TGA Subcool's "Chernobyl." It really depends on which terpene profile you are interested in, though. There's lots of limonene and pinene strains (that...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

It sure seems like it! A cute, little bud tender girl was trying to sell me on some strain and she told me, "This one makes me SO horny!"....LOL! I guess she must have thought that an old guy like me, would find that an attractive sales pitch. She was probably a stripper. Anyway...There's no...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

I think most of the people my age (66) or older, aren't that impressed with the cup-winning, commercially-popular strains of today. I WANTED to believe that once weed became legal, too, because then we would have easy-access to all the favorite varieties of weed that we used to have to wait...

Your Opinion On 18/6 vs 20/4 vs 24/0?

*Vegetative stage: 12 hours ON 5-1/2 hours OFF 1 hour ON 5-1/2 hours OFF ^^^This method is known as The Gas Lantern Routine.^^^ *If I want bigger plants, then I can keep them vegging as long as I want with this routine. However, in my tent, I have found that 12/12 from seed works better. I...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Absolutely spot-on!^^^^ @cdgmoney250! When I first got my medical card back in the day, I was expecting to be blown away at the quality and variety of all the different strains. In reality, what a big "nothing-burger" it was. All of it was pretty mediocre in comparison to some of the "illegal"...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Outdoors, there probably isn't anything better than natural soil -or what I would call dirt. You can add manures, meals, compost, worms, fungi, etc.....and it will just keep getting better and better as time goes on. It will balance itself.... ...however, indoors is a whole different approach...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

The biggest problem for me, in regards to organic ferts, is that they aren't broken down as quickly or as well as when they are able to be acted upon by other natural components -like earthworms and soil microbes and "critters" that expedite the process. Indoors, I like to keep things absolutely...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

It's all about genetics. If you have to blame fertilizers for being the "make it or break it" factor in your weed being good or not, then I think it's a copout. The same arguments are often made for "indoor vs outdoor" weed. The outdoors guys say that the Sun is providing spectra that can't be...
