I had this issue on some Blueberry auto. The buds rubbed themselves, trapping that moisture in between the buds resulting in some bud rot. Harvested a little early for fear of spreading to more areas. This was a dense plant. Good luck.

Bt is safe on your plants but very effective on caterpillars. Don’t wait to use it. The small caterpillars can leave dead material behind which can lead to rot and mold in those hard to reach sites like buds.
