Best overall breeder... Thoughts ?

Was s

Was Sam a one hit wonder and what has he done lately? I think every "breeder" is doing a disservice to the gene pool. The guys like ken Estes, bodhi, swerve, og raskal, gage green and every other American grower with a good male and clone only females can make a hybrid better than any bullshit "breeder". Everything we were taught about breeding weed was a lie. What strains has Robert Clark made? The best breeder is yourself.
watching sam drop knowledge on mixing dry sift and bubble . mixing terps for effect . is pretty neat .
i am trying a diffrent approach more like tom hill and shanti with line i like . finding homozygus males and allowing the terps you want to shine through.... there are plant minimums for outbreeders . inbreeding depression and serility genes (a plant having a mechinism not to "self " ) are very real and scarey traits .... reading about plant breeding and dog breeding makes me fear how much we can "mess up " our own gene pool ...

looking for "sports" is what i am all about :)
In botany, a sport or bud sport, traditionally called lusus, is a part of a plant (usually a woody plant, but sometimes a herb) that shows morphological differences from the rest of the plant. Sports may differ by foliage shape or color, flowers, or branch structure.

knowing this you CAN become the best breeder for your own enviroment .IMO

So what "breeders" are putting out what some call stable plantspecies, like clone in seed form....

I know this honeybee f2"pollen chuck" looks like a true breed strain....

This was found by me,in the f1 honeybee..

No real selection process, just hit the best female out the group,we its what I think is the best male...we can all do that.
It's not much thought to it....it's more about "breeder" infatuation.
you are correct here in most f1's in most plant species the genotype seems to be evenly split ressive to dominate so you will see a few main expressions based on enviroment .
i am learning . F'2s are the GOLD i am reading as you can get those ressive to ressive link ups more often (1/4 of 1/4th of the time )

I won't get into the argument of what defines a "breeder"
i'll simply add my opinion.
Bodhi is my favorite, professor p is my second.
Haven't had anything but awesome results from both.
And my new favorite strain is the pineapple-hashplant from Bodhi.
But i'm a sucker for anything jack herer related...
the tranquil elephantiser is a nice smoke too...
Bodhi is good enough to hoard beans... sort of a sickness...

I was always chasing after new strains, hunting for the best. It becomes an addiction, what else is out there. Then after twelve years of trying to get a legit TX shoreline cut, I finally scored a cut. This is not only my favorite smoke, but once you have had it, you don't want anything else. This strain changed my life. Better than bubba, better than girl scout cookies or ecsd. Ask anyone that's tried it. It goes for 5000 a pound or 500 an ounce, and they thank you for it.

It looks and tastes like weed use to back in the day. Super greasy, not sticky but greasy. And the smell and taste are unarguably the best skunk around.
looks great !:weed:

I'm in Colorado springs, have been for a couple years. What skunks do you have and I'm pretty easy to get in touch with.

I just had to reply to this as there is very little knowledge in what you are saying. Most of these companies are fly by night?! Which ones are they? I have bought a lot of seeds from Nirvana, DNA, Dinafem, Humboldt, Barney's, TH seeds, BC Bud, Cali Connection, Delicious, Female seeds, GGG, G13, Reserva Privada, and TGA. Every last seed cracked without a hermie one! The strains I bought were very stable and some were amazing producers and others had great smoke. The longer I have grown, the more I have realized that 95% or higher, it is the grower who fucks everything up and not the breeder's genetics.
Actually he was pretty much on the money with what he said. Theres about 5 or 10 that actually "breed" the right way that i know of. Lots of time patience space and a shit ton of plants. Tom Hill. Chimera are at the top of the heap. The othershe mentioned (although have good stuff....are doing very basic seed making with a limited plant count and gene pool).

He asked for breeders, not pollen chucking closet hacks.

If you're asking who the best of the best true breeders are nowadays? Chimera makes the list...DJ Short's son JD is starting to run with some of the old lines and try to get them back to their former glory, so worth a look...Tom Hill is another legend who is the haze expert...and of course Shanti's still cranking them out too last I checked.

In terms of pollen chuckers, Bodhi comes to mind certainly...BOG puts out reliable, consistent stock...CSG (Connoisseur Genetics) and specifically OJD does great work as well. None of these (nor 99% of the people who most folks consider "breeders") are actually breeders in the traditional sense of the word, meaning that they are making their selections from a very small pool comparatively speaking. The Chimeras, Tom Hills, and the like are selecting from literally hundreds or thousands of plants at a time, which requires a lot more space and expertise. That doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with the gear that the "pollen chuckers" are producing, but also keep in mind that without a doubt, the MAJORITY of "seed companies" and "breeders" selling seeds online are fly-by-night operations with weak genetic pools and poor business practices overall.
This is so true^^^^

I think we all can agree that what we have in our rooms is some pretty damn good smoke? And i had a "strain" that smelled like my farts once a long time ago. Loved that farty ole gal. Lost her to what o cant remember. Stinky ole bitch. Lol... SELFIE FARTS....THE '91 cut.

where is this 30% strain… and I want test results from multiple sources on same plant!! There was a shift a year or 2 ago and some dishonest fucks changed something in the way they tested strains… 25% thus far is known to be around the highest level… yes some labs have tested 32% but I don't buy that because those same labs tested 26% on strains that test at 16% all day long so I quickly became suspicious off all these claims above 30.. it just aint happening.
There's a dispensary around here that has a cut that tests at 22% CBD-A and 12% THC-A. Could be legit as every other strain they have is 24% or under (including OG). It's making quite a few waves around here in the medical community. Chimera has also tested a cut of Kush (Hightest Kush in his hybrids with it) from around here at 31% THC-A. Tend to believe the results he posts.

It's called Meltdown (The CBD strain).

multiple test, from multiple people... continually show rd gth#1 tests over 30%
even scott says there is something wrong with the machine.....
I am calling bullshit on most all the cannabis testing percentages. I remember not too long ago Shantibaba was in a video saying that he doubts any cannabis strain in flower form tests over 20% total cannabinoids. And this man has tested hundreds of lines with his CBD Crew so I believe him just can't remember what the video was called tried to find it a week or so ago. I know we do get the 20%+ tests coming out but they are probably doing something wrong.
