Honey in bloom?

Hi RIU fam,

Has anyone dabbled with using honey and water during bloom when you're getting close to harvest?

I know molasses and water is common. Ive put honey in compost teas and has similar effect on the microbes. For me personally, molasses tastes like caca and honey does not.

The talking heads on the internet tout honey, I'm a bit more skeptical, honey also has antifungal coumpounds, but I doubt it's enough to do much to prevent mold. The bottom line with either, the results are short lived, a couple days and the microbes population has swelled, consummed all the sugar and populations dies back to what it was.

How would taste transfer? Molasses is too big for the roots to even uptake, it does a lot of things for your plants but changing the taste of them it cannot do.

I guess after the bacteria shits it its not a strong taste but there is a slight differance.
Or maybe parts of the molasses that are shugar go in the plant no idea but i tasted it or maybe it was placebo

The plants can't absorb the sugar, so it has no effect on the taste, look, or texture of the plant. I imagine you could contribute the slight difference in improving your grow techniques, and keeping your plants happy.

Blackstrap has beneficial micro nutrients
Honey has antibacterial properties so I believe the molasses is probably more effective
As a source of carbs yes and if your gardens pest free honey is good for wounds in plants just not if bugs are around i dont think it have much beneficial uses as a source of carbs vs molasses
