Chronic myeloid leukemia its been my friend since jan 2020, been doing daily TKI's since called dasatinib, without Smoking i can't keep food down. however wildly enough i havn't been sick with flu type things since early 2020 and my wife swears its the weed + tki. been in remission twice. just wondering if anyone else out there is in my boat and what they do to take their mind off the "side effects" of these meds, the bone pains are wild and i think thats why god makes me grow weed :bigjoint:

well if anyone does end up with this BS, just buckle up and keep your mind positive. found out a few days ago I am once again in the detectable range for CML, i don't plan on letting this beat me, we all know its gunna be the VA not cancer that gets this prick

Stay strong and take care of yourself- the mental part of chronic illness is often more difficult than the physical part.
Keeping yourself distracted with your garden and other hobbies is helpful to keep from falling into the pain spiral where you are focusing on the pain it causes it to get worse.

Recent research suggests dandelion root extract may have anti-cancer properties, including potential benefits in treating chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Specifically, studies have shown that dandelion root extract can induce apoptosis (programmed cell death) in leukemia cells, particularly in chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) cell lines. While these findings are promising, more research is needed to fully understand the efficacy and mechanisms of action in in-vivo models and human patients.
Key findings from research on dandelion and CML:
Apoptosis induction:
Dandelion root extract has been shown to trigger apoptosis in leukemia cells, including those of CMML, a type of leukemia.
Cancer cell selectivity:
Some studies indicate that the extract's effects on apoptosis are selective, meaning it targets cancer cells without harming healthy cells.
Potential for combination therapy:
Research suggests that dandelion root extract could be used in combination with conventional treatments like chemotherapy to potentially enhance their effectiveness and reduce tumor cell populations.
Case study evidence:
A case study documented a patient with CMML who experienced improved hematological parameters and reduced bone marrow blast counts while using dandelion root extract.

now i gotta go down this rabbit hole and start a dandelion grow journal, gives me things to learn about thanks

also thanks for all the replies and thoughts, just needed to vent a little bit, when i first found out I had CML i went to the ER because i couldn't breath and my wife forced me to go, spent a few weeks at that hospital where they made me wear a fall risk bracelet because i told them i wasn't just gunna lay down all day. I have been for a while now in the mind set of whats next but not in a negative way but in another hurdle to get over. I've also learned over the years to not let the things i can't control in life get to me. I also know that life could be way harder for me

That's cool. Peace comes with acceptance of what is. Not everything requires your energy as it can be in futility.
I also know that life could be way harder for me
It's easy to find someone less fortunate and admire that they persevere despite everything they struggle with. Gratitude is a good practice.

You've got this bud. Stay positive.
