what was she caught on , a boilie or other bait?
and have you tried a baby marshmellow as bait?
i was fishing in america when none of my lures were working, so i stuck a baby marshmellow on the hook and cast out, it was a misscast, but as i reeled it in, i caught a beauty of a crappie crappy which ever the spelling they use in the states. i laughed so hard, i was the only one catching too. i just thaught its about the size of a small boilly, might work lol

Tiger nut mate , the carp spook off boilies they have seen it all over the decades , it’s a 127 acre gravel pit with only about 16 carp in , believe it or not the one above is relatively small compared to the others been chasing them for a couple of yrs , if you can get two a season that’s classed as a good season

i havn't been carp fishing for fucking years, there was an old canal at the bottom of the wreck (play ground). there was a guy calledjohn tovey, he was a keen fisherman, and stocked it up with fish, notablely 2 golden orff, huge ones too, but they stocked it up with carp and loads of rudd n roach and all mannor of fish, it was a lovely spot to fish too, loads of good runs. anyway, there was a corner of this canal that had a huge carp living in it. can't remember the weight, but my mate braught it home on 2 1/2 pound breaking strain line, took him 2 hours almost, great stuff

never herd ofa tiger nut b 4, sounds interesting, yeah, they get to know the baits so fast, im sure they talk to each other lol

never fished a gravel pit b 4, would love to get back into fishing. 2 a season is good, bloody hell, is it stocked up with other fish too?
