Hydroponics

A bit hard to guess what happened. But yeah, all of us go through many different failures unless there's someone with reasonable experience watching over. Me for example - I never had too much difficulty to pull strong weed out of a dwc in my early days. But the only positive thing in it was just that, nothing more. I was satisfied enough to not learn anything valuable and my skills didn't evolve. So a big failure can be better sometimes than stability. Age matters too.

I tried Hydro, but I must be an Idiot. I got the biggest pump I could find, biggest air pump, Jesus, I was blowing the thing up...I really SUCK!

It was pretty easy for me and Im not a green thumb. Also not a handyman with pumps and etc. Just start low in ec and slowly work up till it looks happy and keep it there. If to clone it now you know what it needs start to finish.

Floraflex bubblers are a must if to run more than 2 plants over orbit. I use one pump per plant in flower just a vivosun 1150gph pump and 2 port orbit for one plant. Out of a 5 gallon bucket, no wave maker etc nothing. The bucket can easily last 2-3 days if you dont need to feed more than 6x per day. I use nearpow timer that functions in seconds just use the cycle on/off mode.

It can get airlock tho so watch for that or just prime it daily or every 2 days. Just turn pump sideways and turn it on underwater to pump air out, connect tubing still underwater, then run the pump as normal feed cycle. I only use a half gallon worth of coco for 2.5x2.5 plants or 3x3. No additives just maxibloom and 2.5ml bleach per 5 gallons. Or else it goes bad overnight from warm temps.

You could get a large reservoir and water chiller and possibly ro water but thats a flood risk, expensive and to be maintained. It also doesnt really remove all bacteria so Id just try a water chiller as my basement reservoirs last a week easy and can be topped off for weeks. Before it need a full swap.

The seperate lines to plants allow different strains as I quickly found more often than not they have their own sweet spot in ec. I use fabric pots the root pruning is healthy over having root bound roots that sometimes are fine but more often than not for me; it caused poor drainage. They got gunky and funky. Managing rootpressure to avoid budrot is best in fabric pots too.

Youll get the hang of it, I been doing it for a little over 3 years, you can ask me any questions. I can probably answer them because Ive had to dial in every aspect of dtw coco there is to dial in. Idk if you done dtw coco if that post was regarding that but its by far easier than all other hydro methods.

You can ask in plant problems, us dtw coco people tend to help people there. It gets the most views, these dedicated hydro sections are pretty dead. This thread given how long it is might get help here but ya. b
