Who has best blueberry strain? Not DJ Short's version.

That blue bonnet is from Lonestar from the old days originally. My fave. Texas Resin Company’s blueberry crosses were always tasty and potent, I miss them. Always had that lush deep color and did I mention the potency, especially for a blueberry. I always thought the indica cut we ran in Oregon of DJ Blueberry was best, shorty squat Steele blue color and tasted almost like straight vicks and blueberry. Obviously an indica cut, not the sat version. Peel your head back potent. Never seen it since

My blueberry successes were Leonardo (Blueberry Cookies S1) from Irie Genetics. It produced strong, fake blueberry aroma like the drier sheets people inexplicably use to make their clothes smell weird. But even better was Blueberry Muffin from Humboldt Seed Co. This legit smells like a blueberry muffin in mid flower and when I've grown and harvested well it was distinctly like a blueberry muffin in joint flavor. Neither companies sell these varieties, but they sell offshoots. I made S1 seeds of both in relatively small quantities and share for free. The Blueberry Muffin I still have and can make more.

I tried a Blueberry from one of the Dutch seed companies a long time ago that claimed to be from DJ Short. They were all hermie runts and I struggled through pulling male flowers just to get a little taste of maybe blueberry aroma. Waste of time.

I also tried Riot's Blueberry IX, just one seed so far, but it sucked so bad I can't imagine popping any more of that overpriced BS until someone else says they found success in this line. It was weak as shit, no flavor, but at least it wasn't a hermie and although small and slow growing it wasn't a runt.

Last summer I grew out a random blueberry cross from a throw away seed bank and I really had no expectations of anything good coming from it. To my surprise the bud from that plant smelt 100% identical to actual blueberries. I had no idea that blueberry strains could actually have such a pure and realistic blueberry smell to them. I've grown many different so-called blueberry strains and blueberry hybrids over the years and I've never gotten anything with a scent identical to fresh blueberry fruit like this plant had. I have some seeds from it that I believe i self pollinated to be feminized, and unfortunately it was an auto flowering plant on top of that.. But I do have seeds from it nevertheless if anyone's interested.

Way back when I was 15 years old.. going back roughly 27 years ago.. My very first seed order was through Mark Emery's seed bank. I ordered a strain called 'Blueberry X Thai' from Dutch Passion. It was some amazingly good bud indeed, but there was no real true blueberry odor whatsoever from it. Nothing even close to what could be considered blueberry.

One of my favorite breeders was PeakSeedsBC, which is no longer selling seeds to the public and no longer operates under that name. Anyhow, for years I grew their blueberry hybrids. Northern lights x blueberry, skunk x blueberry, kush x blueberry... All of which were amazing strains, some of which I was able to produce my own seeds of and still grow out to this day each summer... But none have any of that true blueberry odor that I got from this one random throw away auto plant from a junky auto seedbank.. we all know the type of seedbank I'm talking about, don't we?

Anyways.. if anyone out there wants a few beans from this plant with the killer blueberry scent let me know as I'd love for someone to work on it and produce something amazing from it. I don't have the time or space to mess around with it myself as I've got other projects on the go.

"Energizing" I would not say was accurate, for me at least, and I find most weed energizing.

Saw a thread on I think ICMAG where someone else was on the hunt for blueberry and the 'winner' was a strain by Verdant Green: Bluedigiberry.

I am currently on the hunt for some sweet blueberry terps and will be looking through a few strains + maybe a cut or two.

Surprised no one mentioned AK Bean Brains Vintage Blueberry, it will be part of my upcoming hunt.
