Nah, you don't need a ballast for CFLs. Just plug them all into a power strip and plug that strip into the wall or a timer. That simple. A ballast is like a transformer for your lights so they don't blow up. Send a link to your journal!

Yo, I was using 12 23w CFLs and they each kicked out about 1200 lumens. I just upgraded to a 400w dual ballast, so stay tuned.
its a 250watt HPS i started off with cfl's then i got the HID bug and had to have one....
anytime, its all of us combined i just wanted to make a place for all the auto lovers here to come hang out
