    Your plants will stretch for about 3 weeks anyway so you absolutely can, when it comes to any form of LST earlier the better but late is better than not at all.

    My bad i actually have the 4ft. T8. Would that change anything?

    Nah only the price and wattage/output of the bulbs. T8 is 32watts and T5 is 54/80watts

    250watt for a good heavy grow,or l.e.d cob same size output dunno what it is in l.e.d use a digi ballast 1/4 price of magnetic 1s.
    Cfl will produce nice veg plants ,fluffy buds tho...tried and tested
