    Humboldt Seed Company (HSC) Thread

Good question; I did not take clones due to the others I popped as part of this run (and we can only have 4x plants in the state I live in). It would be interesting to know as I flowered at roughly ~7 weeks or so. Maybe there's a threshold where intersex issues are mitigated. It would be a...

    Humboldt Seed Company (HSC) Thread

The intersex expressions I've had with HSC strains, with one exception (Old Growth OG), have been somewhat "manageable"; most of the balls appear at the 3rd-5th internodes with a few being crafty and hiding under leaves and etc...it's a pain in the ass for about two weeks straight and then it...

Blueberry Cupcake - Day 41. Such an amazing smell and super resinous. Starting to develop some nice purp hues and etc. This one has been a bit of a PITA as she decided to start demonstrating intersex traits around day ~18 - thankfully only across the undersides of some of the mid-larf nugs -...

Thanks! I'm on my third run now with NFTG. The first run was one hell of a learning experience. Second run was a lot better but I still struggled with the Ph challenges like a mo fo (I use RO water, which, for me, makes for an acidic headache late in flowering with NFTG). This current run...

Looks pretty awesome for 1 part crap nutes. Nice genetics for the win! In my flower tent, the two I'm running currently are Slurricane #7 S1 (In House) and then Grandpa's Stash R2 (Ethos). Grandpa has been interesting and is stacking on thick gnarly colas - I'm slowly upping BK and she seems...

That's great to hear that the HSC strains are fire! I also have the Humboldt Sour D (and also their Old Growth OG) which I'm hoping to pop in the next run. I can only grow 4x at a time in the state I live in - so I do 2x veg and 2x flower - it drags out the pheno hunting for sure...but I can't...

    NFTG. Nectar For The Gods

When building soil, I utilize #4 and add close to a cup of one shot to a 10-gal (or one bag of #4) pot. Along with this, and to further help with Ph issues, I also add about 3/4 cup of Calcite (DTE Garden Lime) to help with the inevitable acidity that NFTG seems to induce (esp later in the...

No, not at all. And Triton's Trawl smells like someone's ass exploded with a fountain of rotten dead nasty shit. If my nugs smelled like that I'd run for the hills. Remember, there's chemistry at work here; this reminds me of the old school "back in the day" grow tips where people would say...

Agreed, during mid-to-late flowering, you'll blast through Olympus. In my mix of nutes yesterday (at 4.5 weeks flowering), I added about ~16ml of Oly Up to get my mix back up to ~6.4-6.5 (per gallon with ~7.5Ph input). If you balance your P inputs with Cerces vs. all Herc it will attenuate...

    NFTG. Nectar For The Gods

Yeah; depending on your starting Ph and the volume of Herc you add, you're going to end up with a pretty acidic solution. Olympus will get you back into the desired range (and add a nice boost of residual Ca).

Nice! One to add for your next mix would be One Shot. Amazing stuff

Thanks for sharing. I attempted a mix that Tim McCormick (cultured bio) suggested in one of the many OGFamshow episodes and have had a pretty nice result during the veg run. It employs "Dr Growth" (formerly known as and referenced in the video as "Trigger") along with Kelp (via Poseidonzime) ...

Make sure that you grab some Olympus Up; this is critical for providing Ca (along with obviously getting you back into the right Ph range). Good luck!

Regarding building soil - with #4 , I add Calcite (I use RO to water) - DTE "Garden Lime" (roughly 3/4 cup for 10gal pots)- and then also one shot - smidge under half a cup or so. Seems to make a nice rocket launcher for veg mode. Fingers crossed. And hell yeah to the Bigfoot Gold. That...

Thanks for sharing! Is the larger dosage of Demeters to help overcome the missing Ca from the RO water source? Or are you remineralizing your RO? I experienced the dreaded 5-6 week Ph fallout in my first Nectar run (I use RO as well due to a sheit well) even after adding 1/2 cup of calcite...

There are these kits out nowadays where you can cut a small sample of tissue and mail to be tested. Apparently you can tell very early the sex (of course not if there's a hermie, hah) and may potentially be able to cull your excess males earlier. I've never tried it but it seems like an...

What's the old adage? If in doubt, wait another week? lol Still looks like there are quite a few clears; this could just be the photo or my horrible eyes. How is the plant's water uptake? Still drinking or flagging?

The spring water you buy is 220ppm? Dang. What in the heck is in there? lol. Their (Wally's) Distilled (if you can get it) is usually a PPM <10 and ph of ~7. Pretty close to what you'd expect from RO-derived water. The only issue there is that the water is broken down and you're on the greek...

I cut Pegasus after w3 for this run. Not sure if it needed to continue or not; I did run a bit hotter on Medusas (which has feather meal in it of course) and per Roman guidelines , I'm been jamming a good bit of Athenas as well as getting the extra N from Triton's...I figured that was more than...

I'd try to stick with calcite vs. dolomite as the latter has mg. Have you herc flushed at 6.4? Did that make any difference?
