greensanta - you'd be surprised how many cycles you can get out of a pot if it is topdressed after every cycle with quality EWC, compost, and some simple amendments (neem, kelp, crab, etc.). many folks do this for years and the quality of the soil only improves. i'm sure rising moon won't have...
