Too expensive?
Idk, I paid 140 for a GL60 and I think it's worth every penny.
Assembly was super easy. All the supports are metal. The secure snaps that go on the end of the poles are solid and fit very tight. They're not going to go anywhere.
The mylar covering is very thick and durable...

Regardless, growth shouldn't be that slow after 14 days
By 14 days your plants should already be at their 3rd or even 4th node
After 5 days of drying they should still be "spoungy", just squeez them with your fingers and mold it into a harder nug.
Continue to dry another 2 days, then go into jars. Nugs will always be solid rocks
Let the soil dry out before watering. Get those roots working.
If possible, get some kelp blast and add to your water. The stuff is fantastic.

Well, it uses cree diodes and it's a white light. Even shows it in the picture that it's not blurple.
Their other models that aren't cobs use cree diodes but are red/blue 5w blurples.
Anything within visible sight even from the outside is probable enough cause to search. Odor is no longer enough for probable cause
If a cop knocks on your door and looks through the window and sees your grow, they can go in all they want.
