Keep at it and they should root. Mist the container lid more than the cuttings. The medium shouldn't get too wet, just moist. Good luck!

Hey and welcome. Clones need to be kept moist (under a dome or some people use plastic sangwich bags over solo cups) for at least a week until they start rooting.

Any benefits as a pest controller end as soon as it's wet and has to be reapplied. Adding it into your soil mix for insect control purposes won't do anything.
