hey im growing 2 durban poison plants outdoors and the main stock and branches are turning purple and the leaves are drooping?

should i trim my leaves around the plant just started flowering?

hey every year i grow some outdoor herb and every year bugs get to my plants how can i prevent the bugs from eating plants? im in socal if anyone knows anything about local bugs (ie) white flys, spider mites ect... i also having a problem with white mold any suggestions?
