Sounds like the top of your soil is staying too damp? I would watch that, any spores are the worst enemies IMO. I like to feed 1/2 the water into the runoff tray first, then dump the rest on top. I find the thirstiest roots are at the bottom, but the medium holds too much of the top-down...

I think that's why some breeders worked on it to get Crit+ and Crit+ 2.0, by 2.0 it's giving the same big yield but with great potency, flavor, and mold resistance (also a blazing 45-50day flower). But Crit Mass is basically the "base model" version, with the plastic door handles and am/fm radio lol

When I need to tie down I like to wait a week or so then give a little slack, see if they will pick it up by trying to stand back up. Careful though to not bind the stem too tightly, leave room for it to swell and not get cut ;) Hey, just wondering if in the pics did the lights just come on...

I remove the 5th so the 4th is now 2 tops, and yes, the fans and growth tips of the 1st and 2nd, with the goal of burying the stem up to the 3rd node at transplant. Lots of people skip this and just take off the 3rd node, leaving 4 tips , but when I tried it I felt like it was too much too soon.

You should look at medicroppers youtube for a few ideas, he's a commercial grower who produces 50lbs a month. I think you could scale down his plan and make it work for you, if you have the rooms. I think you would need 2 flower rooms with maybe 5 Gavitas each and maybe a few more for a veg...

If you really want to you can try massaging the leaf stem so it bends where you want, but I agree it may be better left alone a little longer. Any stress at this stage can really hurt growth. Are you giving it silicate? That can help make the stems more pliable IME.

Yea I like to get 5 nodes too, but then I only take the growth tip leaving the "hairs" on either side to turn into 2 branches. I then pluck the lowest 2 nodes either immediately or later for clones and use the 3 & 4 nodes to mainline ( meaning turn those 4 branches to 8, then the 8 to 16, etc)
