Could Kelp extracts be a waste of money?

Once the bacteria/fungi in the soil have broken the molasses down as they feed, yes. I use it as a soil amendment and a few times in the water. Here's a good article on it: http://www.weekendgardener.net/organic-fertilizer/molasses-050805.htm

Could Kelp extracts be a waste of money?

Yeah, I should have specified molasses, lol. Contains calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron all from a natural plant source, organic even. The plants actually do not benefit from sugar.

Thinking of switching from 1X 1000W to 2X 600W, bad idea?

Let me explain the chart...light output is shown in foot-candles, which is a measurement of lumens per square foot. Lux is measured in lumens per square foot. Now is it useful?

Thinking of switching from 1X 1000W to 2X 600W, bad idea?

Yeah, people say a lot of things on here they back up with personal opinions and conjecture rather than facts or experience.

Thinking of switching from 1X 1000W to 2X 600W, bad idea?

Take a look at this chart. The 600w's will give you coverage over a larger area and you can get closer to the bulb, but have less penetration. If you have taller plants, then a 1000w is needed. Hope this helps!

sub, I was empathizing with your general statement earlier in the thread about being apprehensive to give advice on individual grows/threads due to the heat you seem to receive. I have read many of your sticky's/threads and know you contribute to the community. I was not criticizing you...

    New grow Lf help.

The autos can take the heat probably due to their ruderalis genes. I had mine in 100+ degree drought conditions outdoors and they did fine. The heat and dry air is probably getting to that kush, though . You need to take out the aluminum foil, it reflects mainly just heat, and replace with...

Well, thanks for being a breeder sub. You have done more with mj than most of us ever will. If you're making money because of your hard work, great! Too bad you don't give out much advice, but I have noticed when giving advice lately other members are quick to criticize that advice and don't...

    12-1 is bullshit....

Seeds germinated in fertilizer laden soil can have issues. In the future look for the mg seed starter soil, it has no nutes in it, comes in a small 1 gal bag. Happy growing!
