    Topping soil with wood ash?

If used lightly it would be beneficial as it contains lime and potassium and many trace elements. Too much and the lye and salts are harmful.

urgent! ! broken plant and wonder if I can clone

I'm dealing with the same thing. I feel your pain. This plant was a nice bush. I was hoping for good things. I put a splint in and taped it up but it was too late. There are still 4 branches low to the ground that are alive, so there's that lol.

I'm thinking I need deer deterrent stuffs. The bottom one was pretty much broken in half. I added a splint and crossed my fingers. The only thing I can figure is a buck raked his antlers down the stem. It's odd because I know they are still in velvet.

All of my plants are now showing sex. The ones that haven't been eaten by deer or rabbits or bugs. Seems everything likes weed. I found the last 2 males. I pulled the one that was in the same plot with 2 females. The other fella was by his lonesome so I'm going to try to get some pollen from...

A deer gnawed the shit out of this plant since I last visited. Pretty much de-leafed it.

Is or can UV/Light-bleaching be diminished by a good amount of N in a leaf (dark green)?

I think you are the scientist and have a sound hypothesis. While there is still a possibility of pure coincidence you make a strong case. It's something I'll keep in mind for next year.

I found some white spiderweb type stuff wrapped completely around some branches. I sprayed with fungicide cuz I just don't know. I'm going to dose all of them with bt one evening real soon to hopefully help with bud worms.

About 5 weeks early I'd say. Not sure what the deal is unless it's stress from drought. I did start them in late march so....? I was anxious to get things rolling.

Help choose the next fake scandal

Person of hate is preferred. Racist and bigot are no longer socially acceptable terms as they are offensive to some people of no color.

The one plant I have in straight native soil is doing well. She is the biggest by far. Looks like she has started to flower as well.

In my watering rounds I went by a spot not visited too often. I found some early flowers.

Still no rain to speak of. Watering as much as I can but I'm falling behind. I had a plant attacked by a rabbit I guess. Nipped the two main branches that were knee high. It was a poor little plant. The branches were just a little smaller than a pencil in diameter. You could see the teeth marks...
