Burger King admits to selling horse meat

OK, I've decided to come back to this thread. In part because of the thing that irked me in the first place: That's rude. What else can I say? Yeah, I guess it is a touchy subject. Isn't it, though? The crap we have to pick from in modern society, I mean? Vegans aren't immune to it either...

    The Muppets

Netflix has them as well. I grew up watching the first few seasons live from New York. I lived in the burbs - by the time I was hanging out in NYC, I wasn't into SNL anymore.

Burger King admits to selling horse meat

Well, then I apologize. I thought this thread was all about the crap present in our modern methods of food production. I honestly thought it was an interesting bit of trivia that vegans are not immune to this either. To be honest, the whole of it disturbs me when I let down the denial I built up...

    Why are college graduates underemployed?

You should say, "Excuse me sir, but I'm a man." Try not to let your voice crack. It ruins the effect. (J/k - congrats.)

Burger King admits to selling horse meat

That would only matter if I were on some crusade instead of bringing up trivia. I did not meant to hit on a touchy subject or get into some debate with some holier-than-thou vegan. Not that I'm saying you are. I'm not accusing you of anything, nor am I asking (demanding?) you to Shut The Fuck...

    My seedlings stopped growing!? Help!

I killed 7 seedlings starting out by keeping them too wet and humid. My recent success (so far) came when I got rid of the humidity dome and went with frequent misting.

 Chill. I'm just passing on an interesting bit of trivia.

Burger King admits to selling horse meat

I'm sure you try your best to only eat plant protein. In practice, it is not possible to eliminate pest insects from the human food chain. Insects are present in many foods, especially grains. Food laws in many countries do not prohibit insect parts in food, but rather, they limit the quantity...

Now's the time to get creative

Yeah, but like I said, this is not in the Music section for a reason. This is more about taking up something like this at a later stage in life. Other's might do it with painting or photography, or even lamp work! I'm not retired - I still have to go to work every day. I'm not rich enough to buy...

    Why are college graduates underemployed?

I dropped out of college. But I wouldn't have had the jobs and career I had were it not for college. I think education purposes is a big benefit, especially because of the way our primary education system is. But you cannot be totally lazy in college either - you have to look outside the box...

    The Muppets

The Land of Gorch was a recurring Muppet story-line and series of skits on Saturday Night Live in 1975 and 1976. The SNL staff did not like working with muppets - see the Belushi comment above. When they hit it big with the Muppet Show, they locked all the SNL stuff up with copyright, and it is...

Advice for a student living in a campus-owned apartment who loves to toke

I lived here - 18th floor. We discovered that a large drink cup filled with water and dropped out of the window would pancake upon hitting the ground. It was neat. We discovered that, try as we might, we could never get a smooth enough trajectory out of one of these partially filled with...

Now's the time to get creative

I was going to post this in the music section, but it really isn't limited to music. Perhaps this thread could be titled, "The Official Older-Adult Beginner Artist Club", but that's more up to any participation in this thread than a title I come up with. That's my point, though. I'm 52. You...
