    Lighting for Sativa Scrog Grow

If your using a properly cooled light you should have the light as close as possible while still covering all your plant. No reason not to as long as you don't have a sensitive strain. Remember that true sativas generally require a lot more light than indica dominant strains to reach their...

Spectra Led 120. Stealth Cabinet, Scrog, Flowering has begun.

Thanks! Yes there are always considerations, but as for power draw not bad. The starter unit im looking at is 270w, while the more expensive, not yet available, unit is variable between 500 and 1300w. So on par with most lights we use today. You might be thinking of the big sulfur plasma...

Plasma-I.com Not messing about with induction lighting(not plasma) and definently not buying into some Luxim engine metal halide plasma that lacks reds. Straight up sulfur plasma baby!

15 on 15 off for rainforest 66 sprayer. Sound alright?

Well the plants seem to be responding well to 30/30.I was surprised that they didn't just keel over. After a Rez change tomorrow I think I can salvage these plants a bit.

    10.0 Uvb Light

Ye but those diagrams only work when the bulb is reflected. Without any reflection on the sides the bulb spreads the light horizontally (in vertical orientation). With the particular reflectors the light is going from the side and being pointed straight down. The problem with a horizontal setup...

Spectra Led 120. Stealth Cabinet, Scrog, Flowering has begun.

Small update: I am considering selling all my lights and gear that i can to start over. I recently (like an hour ago) found a sulfur plasma light that is available on our shores, as always im a bit short of cash, so lets see what my tax refund nets me haha. in any case, unless a very poor...

    Plasma lighting....all that or not??

Right now for indoor growing (particularly lighting) is what the 80s and 90s were for computers. Expect big things in the next 8 years, particularly in about 2. I just got word that a horticultural sulfur plasma light is pending certification in the us, and it already has a little brother thats...

Im offically a LED grower. Spectra Im here.

My older 120 (i believe to be 2010 specs) does great up close. ATM they are under 10in from the glass and i have seen no ill effects. I also had it supplementing a larger tree and the side i had the led on (at about 10 in to a foot) and the specific branches that were close were kinda stunted. I...

    Plasma lighting....all that or not??

Well, the gavita also uses the Luxim light engine. If you look at their spectrum graphs the red is low. Other sites have grown with this light and noted that they would be best suited next to a hps, likely due to their loss in red. That said I would still love one. The only sulphur plasma light...

    Plasma lighting....all that or not??

These chameleon lights are plasma lights. The chameleon lights use the Luxim light engine, which is a metal halide plasma. They should be wide spread in street lights in not too far future. As you can see from their most expensive unit, the light lacks the reds needed for flower, so they charge...

    Plasma lighting....all that or not??

Ok so just for others to be clear, we actually are not talking about plasma at all. I don't know why people keep confusing induction lighting with plasma. This is not the Luxim engine, nor any other type of plasma. Too bad we can't change the title. These lights seem great, it's just a lot of...

Im offically a LED grower. Spectra Im here.

Sweet! I'm using a spectra 120, 180w draw. It's an older model, but has been working great thus far. Check out my journals for the lowdown. I have seen that Some of the new spectras have intensity issues, being that they put out too high of intensity and actually hinder plant growth. I know...

I finished light proofing the cab. Aside from about 2 small leaks it is really stealth now. I mean it's still a random cabinet in a kitchen that doesnt match, but at least its dark at night. Smell isn't an issue at all. The nirvana a k48 has never really stunk for me. This specific one is...

    10.0 Uvb Light

Cfls don't really put off much light off their ends. Maybe consider turning those lights on their sides with a diy reflector perhaps? It just screams inefficiency to me. It seems to be working, everything looks amazing. We could all use each others input, hopefully mine helps.

    Hydro Grow LED- BUYER BEWARE!

Why not grow led hydro? It's a different and much better company. To be honest im surprised that hydro grow led didn't threaten to call your local police for growing pot, they have done it before. Check my journal for the light I'm talking about.

    Plasma lighting....all that or not??

Well what we really want to know is who makes this light. Primarily is this the Luxim light engine or something new. The Luxim engine is good, but it's not the plasma to get excited over. They use a metal halide plasma, it produces a good spectrum, but lacks in the reds and far reds that we so...

First time growing want to get it right

Ok so what size fan are you using to vent the tent/cool the light? Whats that? No fan? Well theres your problem. Your tent is overheating and the plant is wilting as a result, opening the tent is going to do little. You need a nice online fan to suck air through the tent. If you have a...
