This has nothing to do with religion, at least not on my part. I believe that gays should be able to be domestic partners or be civil unions or watever and have the same rights that traditional couples have. They can do that already in some states without altering the definition of marriage.

You cant compare race to sexual orientation. You cant live a decent life if your race isnt accepted. But you can go without sex. Plenty of devouts are celibate and dont have any problems.
