    advice with RA

Try topicals. I got something called "Canna Salve" from "Gramma's Bakedery" that works pretty well for me most of the time. I don't get much good from smoking or vaping the high CBD strains, but my wife to use Dr. Feelgood for pain relief. Unfortunately I doubt any dispensary sells Dr...

Never liked the Eagles, and I can't really say why but something about them always rubbed me the wrong way.

Dr. Hook, not one of my faves but I have to admit they had a couple good ones.

    Anyone grow Big Bud?

I'm interested in Big Bud because it is supposed to be one of the "parents" of Granddaddy Purple and GDP is good for my wife's migraines. I'm talking about the GDP that is supposed to be a cross of Big Bud and Purple Urkle. There's another GDP that derived from Grape Ape, but I don't think Grape...

If you were a pothead in the '70s...

More on brick weed: I recall that in late '75-early '76 in OC Cali all of a sudden the $10/oz. reefer started to smell really nasty, and so did anyone who smoked it. I was told that smugglers were spraying the weed with some kind of oil, grease or lard derived from animal fats in order to make...

    Color of my GDP

If you're growing inside, the GDP might not turn purple. I grew it two or three times in a closet under lights and never saw a hint of purple, but after I started growing outside in the sun I had a bunch of purple flowers in late autumn-early winter. Not only the GDP but also Godfather Purps...

If you were a pothead in the '70s...

THC is not supposed to be soluble in water, but I had stoner friends who would save their stems from the cheap Mexican brickweed and make tea out of it every few weeks. I was at a party where they served it and I recall I got real wasted. And they had those fake velvet black light posters on...

What's the worst broscience you've heard?

What about colchicine? I recall I think reading in High Times in the '70s about how using colchicine to induce polyploidy was supposed to be the next big thing, then it just seemed to vanish from the collective conscience.

If you were a pothead in the '70s...

Anyone remember the idiotic urban myth about burying low-quality dope in the ground for a month so that some kind of fungus could magically convert lousy weed into something with higher THC? I actually knew a dude who did this and he was definitely not the dumbest toker in my social circle. I...

How friggin' dry does it have to be for indicas to NOT get powdery mildew, goshdarnit?

I can believe that would happen. The water or peroxide drops act like lenses, maybe.

Yeah, and it was pretty hot those days as well.

How friggin' dry does it have to be for indicas to NOT get powdery mildew, goshdarnit?

I saw where clone grower Mama Funk endorsed Regalia on her website, but as you said it is a bit pricey. I have opted to try Serenade as soon as I can get over my latest attack of laziness. I mentioned that I blasted all the PM-affected plants with drugstore hydrogen peroxide. It seemed to knock...

I have grown horsetails. They are cool plants in containers and really easy to grow, but you have to be careful with them in this area because they can be extremely invasive and hard to remove once they get established. Thanks for the recipe!

    FresnoFarmer's 2019 Backyard Grizzy

"Less watering and the pests seem to go away quicker." I gotta remember that. For now I'm doing it all ultra low-tech and cheap: irrigating by hand with a water pitcher because I only have a dozen or so plants and the hose doesn't reach far enough. But the plants seem to do okay. Also I added...

Kudos to two Single Seed Center in-house strains

It has a nice sweet flavor that reminds me of some kind of fruit or perfume. At least that's what I get when I vape it.
