premade cob system's worth a damn?

Are 3070s not just smaller chips using same tech? Thought it was similar to like a vero29 vs vero18. Either way, enjoy the cree cobs while they still exist.

    How are the "3750"s?

    Pre Drilled Heatsink for boards

Either way Im very curious to see how they test. I could at least see them being great/perfect for supplemental side lighting if nothing else.

    Fish tank grow

Just a little heads up you'll never be able to flower with that setup unless you use autos. and in that vain you might as well just forgo putting 2 way mirror tape on the inside imo. after all if it's just for show it'll be a lot easier to see in without the tape Imo totally not worth it...

    Pre Drilled Heatsink for boards

Well this certainly does seem like a new interesting way to skin a cat however it seems like it might be a little expensive compared to an equivalent cob setup...

    Water cooled COBs

Considering he doesn't actively cool the water condensation will never be an issue. Though if you were concerned it would be determined by the dew point in the room and how adequately the water blocks are insulated

4 Site RDWC with RES, Water Cooled 457W LED, 3.5X3.5 [WIP]

Granted though fluid flow rate through your system in my opinion is the least of your concerns as long as there is flow. airflow through the radiator will have a far greater impact on efficiency

4 Site RDWC with RES, Water Cooled 457W LED, 3.5X3.5 [WIP]

1.2 m head PLUS all the added resistance from the high number of right angles in your setup. I really doubt you will get any flow with that pump tbh.wouldn't be surprised if you need a pump 2 or 3 times the power. Food for thought I have a 700 liter per hour pump rated at 10 watts and with...

optimal watt / square foot or m2

Lol I'm talking to Mr bolof... Case in point this whole thread I don't think he's realized that he's been trying to optimize for photosynthetic activity. after he decides that he still needs to optimize ppfd which is a whole different process not to mention how you manipulate ppfd can have...

optimal watt / square foot or m2

I think you have a fundamental Mis understanding of how optimization works. costs for instance are Paramount in optimization and no I'm not talking dollar costs. do you understand how to manipulate ppfd of a setup once it is up and running?

optimal watt / square foot or m2

Sounds like you need to plan out a budget before you do anything... Remember that growing is like cat skinning, theres practically an unlimited number of ways it can be done correctly.

optimal watt / square foot or m2

For every unit of ppfd you add between 100 and 300 ppfd you get an additional .1% photo rate. For ever unit of ppfd you add between 300 and 600 you get an additional .1% photo rate. By your logic, you should stop even earlier then, because for every ppfd you add between 0 and 100 you gain...

importance of temps in flowering .

I tend to agree with your sentiments but have heard plenty of instances of running high RH, you just need waaaaaaay more airflow to prevent those problems. Depending on the density of the buds though I could easily see how this wouldnt really be feasible.

optimal watt / square foot or m2

No offense, but how is cutting something off long before diminishing returns kicks in "optimal"? And by all means, feel free to get as "technical" as you want. I feel I got plenty technical using the chart to show how I think you are wrong here even by your own logic...

optimal watt / square foot or m2

At 100ppfd you get ~18%. At 300ppfd you get ~47%. So a tripling of ppfd nets you a ~29% increase in photo. At 600pfd you get ~77%. Now it only takes a doubling of ppfd to net you an additional ~30% photo. (not really diminishing in the returns department, is it?) Given this info Im not...

You and tty will get along just fine. I can already tell. lol Heres a novel idea. Quit making threads that have been answered a thousand times before and use the "search" function instead. And when google search tells you it couldnt find an answer you can tell it that your question...

optimal watt / square foot or m2

See, to me optimal would be at the highest point on the curve before it starts to flatten out, because past 75% is when the diminishing returns really kick in according to that chart.

optimal watt / square foot or m2

Grows are all different. If you want to know for sure exactly how your system will work, copy someone elses. Also, grows are dynamic, not static. Changing one parameter could easily impact another. Also, growers are different so youre going to get many different answers that people will...
