So if I wait for the leaves to tell me, I risk falling behind. How else should I know when I need to up the ppm? Just increase it slowly before seeing lighter leaves?
I’m not overly concerned but just thought as they are growing so fast now it won’t be long until the net is 80% full ( I filled...
I am now feeding 3x a day at a very slow drip rate. I would imagine I can increase this as the plants get bigger but at the moment yes, all that water is pointless. I think this is why I haven’t seen the tank numbers move, so much water but only small amounts pass by the roots.
When can I...
I am thinking I haven’t got that much time until I have to flip but I haven’t introduced them to anywhere near the ppm they should be taking. Will I be running at a lower ppm in flower than I would have been if this went perfectly from the start? How long shall I leave the tank alone before...
Thanks mate.! I have actually done one better and pipped up the tubes so when I turn a valve the water drains straight out the room. The tanks are all connected through a chiller (not sure if this is a bit over the top for this system)
Check out the plants
I am so happy, this morning there...
I am pretty interested in this! I’ll have a search on the web tonight. I am missing my old DWC right now, I like how quickly something could be rectified the plants would respond almost immediately. I had a few problems with DWC but nothing as long lasting as this, I wanted a more convenient...
Great article thanks Gypsy Dog.
I do have some cannazyme lying around so I can add that to the flush next time.
The test plant has responded ok to the flushing, I am keen to flush the rest of my plants but will leave everything alone for a few days after last nights water change..
I am...
Thanks Myke- I do understand this concept. I am not adding PH down straight to my RO water as I know one drop would probably turn the solution very acidic. I am adding it after I have added nutrients. The PH last night after adding silicic acid, Rhizotonic, cal/mag and the three part nutrients...
Ok, changing one thing at a time makes perfect sense.
Do you think I should flush the isolated plant again tonight or leave it at on flush last night and this morning. I don’t want to overwater ... EVER AGAIN.
I was wondering.. the silicic acid that I add to my water fist raises the ph...
Thank you - the room is new so I’m sure it won’t look so clean in the near future.
So last night I flushed the isolated plant with bottled water like you guys said.. I also repeated the flush this morning. She is looking pretty similar to most morning when I come into the room - droopy and sad...
It was this time yesterday they have a watering. They went into lights out looking awful (as they always do) and after 4 hours of the lights being on again they look like this
. No doubt I’ll see the same in the morning but I’m hopeful to see the plant I have flushed with bottled water...
Right ok, I will try to mimic this with my set up. That is a lot of flushing, I haven’t been putting it into practice enough talking to others. I’ll do this tonight and report back.
Ok so I am hopeful about this being the “smoking gun”! I will go to the store and get some bottled water and make up a 700ppm feed for her. She is the worst affected so if we see improvements I will be over the moon.
What ppm shall I mix up for the rest of the poorly girls with my RO water...
We are currently on 500ppm but Gypsy dog is saying reduce my nutrients because my plants are only drinking and already increasing the ppms. Don’t know who I should listen to??
Ok so you are both saying I should flush? I have only flushed at the end before harvest so should I use Ro water and ph it or use very weak nutes? On the subject of water, my house is having some major renovations, the water has been off for a month. I have been using tap water with a...
