    Anyone heard of mammoth lights?

Are you talking about the new hlg600? do you have reason to believe it will be worth waiting for rather than a couple hlg 550 v2's?

    Anyone heard of mammoth lights?

I really don't have the confidence to build my own as everyone suggests so I just want to make sure I get something that will be as good as possible.

    Anyone heard of mammoth lights?

I didn't know that....thanks for the info. I emailed the people and they replied right away stating they are new company in massachusetts using Samsung diodes and meanwhile drivers....with no reviews I figured too good to be true.

    Anyone heard of mammoth lights?

For a little more info....I'm not using a tent for flower...it's an open room. I don't use scrog/sog but I do use multiple toppings and pruning to grow a very even canopy. I was hoping to go from the 2 600w hps lights to one large led like either a fluence 8-10 bar, a timber fatty, or 2 hlg550...

    Anyone heard of mammoth lights?

I'm in the market for a good led fixture for a roughly 5x6 flower area. Currently running two 600w HPS and have for ages. I've got the itch to try the newer technology. I'd been looking at the fluence lights and hlg 550 v2. I would need a couple hlg550's at 900 a piece. The fluence spyder...

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

I love them. I've been running them for over 10 years. Only issues are if you don't keep salt buildup under control the tubing can be prone to clog. My miracle cure was when I found slf100....

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

Thank you Thank you for the detailed response. I have to admit I've been resistant to change and stuck old school for quite a while myself. With the legalization and change in perception of growing over the last 10 years there is so much more info and technology to sort through. At the...

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

I like the way you present that point. I had to laugh because after my first year or so of learning for the most part my results have been the same. I've made my best gains by becoming more in tuned with nutrient needs and training for more tops and even growth. Noone has ever complained...

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

You have a solid point. I'm not doing this because I want to throw money away that's for sure. Maybe I'm just getting caught up in the technology craze. I've read a number theories and a lot of people suggest adding suplemental lighting to the hps and say a mix is best. As usual when trying...

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

Really? I wasn't aware of that. I will definitely do some looking into that. I guess I shouldnt have titled this thread what LED to try head to head with the 600w hps....instead it should have asked what light of any kind would you recomend against the 600w hps to try and further increase...

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

I want to clarify the reason for me doing this....it's 100% about quality. I am fairly happy with my current setup. My reasoning is to give my plants a better spectrum that they can then utilize and further improve the quality of finished product. Obvious other benefits would be electric...

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

Thanks for the info. I don't use a formal scrog/sog method. However, I do grow with a pretty even canopy. Here is a picture of my last run. I use multiple topping and light defoliation to keep things pretty even. Do you still think I may be limited with the LED looking at my grow style?

What LED light would you like to see -vs- 600w HPS

Hey guys....I've been around quite a while and have done a couple grow journals on here over the last year or so. I've been running two 600w HPS (super eye hortilux) for as long as I can remember in flower. I have years of sample size to compare against. I, like a lot of people, am...

Feed rings clog up, nutrient tank sludge buildup.

I use to get a lot of clogs in my drip systems until I started adding slf100 to my nutrient mix. It reduced my clogging to almost nothing. Now my pluggage seemed more like chloride/salt buildup rather than the sludge you describe so it may not help you as much as it did me. Might be worth...

    Trying another blue mystic run....

In the grow buckets I use they have a drip ring system. The air lines run into the grow buckets and push nutrients up to drip rings and provide o2 to the resevoir. In the past I would get white salty deposits all over the drip rings and it would plug up the air lines where it met the...

    Trying another blue mystic run....

Day 38 flower. Here are a couple closeups. Buds are packing on weight nicely and trichomes are beginning to pile up.

    Trying another blue mystic run....

Today is day 33 flower....it has been a pretty easy go if it this run. I will say the product slf100 has been an unbelievable addition. I have absolutely none of the chloride issues or residue I've dealt with clogging lines in the past. Amazing.
