First ever grow, dwc, succeed, fail.. what ever it will entail

It's easy enough to work your grow around your schedule if you can cope with say 5 months at a time between trips away, thats plenty of time to grow, harvest, shut down and dry & jar up your crop.

    The UK Growers Thread!

i just use this for PH down - £6 for a 250ml bottle, it's really strong though...85% phosphoric acid so its pretty nasty stuff, but it lasts ages due to it being very strong. https://www.onestopgrowshop.co.uk/products/growth-technology-ph-down

First ever grow, dwc, succeed, fail.. what ever it will entail

I'm either lazy or a baller, pick what you like, but I only change out my rez once in a grow, when switching from veg, to bloom feeds. Unless something goes wrong, I can get away with just topping up either food or plain water depending on what my EC & PH is doing. Saves a fortune in feed...

Yes a big reservoir helps with less topping up of water - should be more stable for PH and EC, too as its a much bigger volume of water. I think mine holds 120 litres max, which is about 32 gallons. https://www.rollitup.org/attachments/1-jpg.5407060/

    Male? Or not male

Looks like it, yes, but it's a really bad picture. If its a clone from a feminized plant then what @Farmer's Hat said... theres no way it will be a male. It might hermie a bit if you are very unlucky, but it's too soon to tell.

    Anesia Elementz DWC

hopefully the buds will thicken out a bit too, they are pretty tall, but pretty skinny... but they look decent and smell decent, so I'm looking forward to trying them out!

I was going to say the PH sounds a little on the high side BUT.. The plants look good... so ...I say, run with it.

First ever grow, dwc, succeed, fail.. what ever it will entail

If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it, the plants look good. I've pretty much stopped using 'addetives' in DWC... I just use 'grow' A&B and swap it out to 'bloom' A&B when in flower. That's it, unless something goes wrong. Here's to a good harvest!

First ever grow, dwc, succeed, fail.. what ever it will entail

I'd just keep going as you are at the moment. Cal/mag suppliments are generally only needed in DWC if you have 'soft' water rather than 'hard' water...and even then depending on the feed you are using, as hydro nutes for 'soft' water generally have a bit of extra cal/mag built in... so it...

First ever grow, dwc, succeed, fail.. what ever it will entail

Nice. Yes they really strart drinking in DWC when flower gets underway. One thing ive noted in DWC is EC 1.4 is quite a strong feed, but it really depends on the strain/envoronment... I've had one grow cope with EC 2.0, but my current grow, even 1.4 is too strong, I'm running about EC 1.1 in...

    Anesia Elementz DWC

yeah im thinking 10-11 weeks... I will play it by ear. Advertised 7-8 weeks but i did mess up in quite a big way with ph in late Veg...so... Smell is evolving... they started out smelling quite kush/afghan hash, then went quite fruity/rasberry.. And now I'm getting top notes of citrus and...

My first grow, problems during flowering. Will it be able to finish?

Yeah, what @Farmer's Hat said Density of buds means nothing when it comes to quality, plants with a lot more/or pure Sativa tend to be less dense, for example. If anything, if the buds are too thick and dense, they can suffer bud-rot if you don't have your huimidity and air-exchange dialed in...

My first grow, problems during flowering. Will it be able to finish?

Those yellow leaves in the lower part of the plants are dead - you may as well chop them off, they might even detach by themselves with hardly any effort. Dead leaves don't recover, so there's no point keeping them.

Political memes ONLY.. To prove your political points.

We know President Musk, and his tea-lady Trump are just shorting the market right? Thats what all this is about... they are tanking the market on purpose so they can buy up more stocks and shares when they are cheaper. Thats it. It's this simple. Follow the money.

    Leds

I'd generally only buy stuff like lights from established local or online grow/hydro shops. Reason being as they will probably have put a bit of thought into what lights they stock, where as if you start your search with Amazon or whatever, as above, there will be a lot of crap to wade through...

    HPS vs LED

Some LEDs have some "deep/far red" diodes... for example this 300w maxibright has a bit of a bump around the 750nm mark...

Are my plants slow or is it normal?

I'll just say to keep an eye on your water temp, 21c is approaching too warm - its always a bit of a balancing act with DWC to keep the air temp high enough, but the water cool enough!

    HPS vs LED

Sorry if I confused things... So in the UK, a fairly standard configuration is the main fuse box will be on a 100a breaker, that's the main breaker for the whole house. Underneath/downstream of that you'll typicaly have a few smaller breakers @32a or 20a. Typically one 32a breaker for the...
