Yeah, lots of mistakes were made lol. More to come, I'm sure. I ordered some crab shell meal and FF tomato fert. Also removed dead leaves. They've had two foliar feedings with epsom salt and 1 feeding with 1/3 strength FF nutes. The pots are drying out as rapidly as before. They look a bit...

Any benefit/problem with removing those dead leaves? I imagine they aren't coming back. The new growth on the bottom actually looks decent?

Alright cool. I'm going to give it a whirl. Here are some updated pictures (2 posts) I think they look better! However, still ain't great. The leaves aren't as droopy. Still look burnt and crispy, especially on 2-3 of them...

Question for dwood; you said a cup of each to every pot when I transplant. Just pour 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of Crab Shell meal each into the soil then mix it around? The FF Tomato and Vegetable looks like a solid fertilizer. You said add 30ml. I'm not sure I follow that? I am going to measure...

Thanks man. Yeah, it wasn't long ago I moved them into 3 gallon pots. It didn't seem to bother them too much, but who knows with all of the issues I've had. It is difficult to pinpoint when things went wrong. If I had to guess, right from the beginning! haha I'm intrigued by the light burn...

That may be tough to do right now with all the gardening stores on lockdown, but I'll definitely look into it. Is it FF Tomato and Fruit or Tomato and Veggie...

Roger that. I have an ample supply of empty sanitized 5g buckets. Start with x drops of the 4.0 water and add tap until I hit ~6.2. seems reasonable.

Good call on the experimentation. Anything I can do to remove the guess work is a plus. I know anything more than a drop or two is a problem and I'll need to add more water to dilute and bring the pH back up. I've made that mistake before. I'll start adding the pH down before the actual water. I...

I fill either a 5 gallon or 2 gallon bucket with tap water. Wait about thirty minute. Test with a (recently referenced) Vivosun pH pen. Add a tiny drop of General Hydroponics pH down, remeasure. Come back in 30 minutes, measure again. If it is between 6-6.5 I consider it good. Does that help?

Also, most importantly, I really appreciate everyone helping out here... I know a lot of this stuff is documented across multiple resources (books, websites, threads, etc) but the ability to put all of that information together into a sort of tribal knowledge is extremely helpful. THANK YOU ALL!

Yeah, so my lights have been a steady 2-2.5 feet away from the plants. I'm using Meanwell drivers and pulling ~640w from the wall. I don't have a dimmer, so it has been full blast since the beginning. I was also running 24/0 cycle. I dropped that down to 16/8 two nights ago. However, it is...

Epsom salt > calmag? I have both handy, so either works. Unless it has to be agricultural grade epsom salt. I just have Target brand epsom salt...? And foliar feed with epsom salt, correct? 1-2x a week? Also, @Dontjudgeme I didn't realize I have to leave the water sit! Well, I'll start...

I believe the problems started right around that time, but I wasn't writing everything down as I should've been. If I kept a log, this probably would've been easier to tackle. I believe I did so many things incorrectly at once, it will be difficult to retrospectively hone in on the exact root...

Yep, makes sense to me. I tried to be careful, but this being a first run and all... I think the watering did me in. Although it may also be the quality of my tap water. My RO system is one of those under the sink systems and would take quite a bit of time to fill up a watering can. Next time...

Thanks. Hopefully this kit helps. I was looking for a digital pH/TDS meter for soil when I first started and there seemed to be no consensus on the efficacy of such devices. I suppose I should've been looking for something more manual, like these test kits. I'll keep dosing with light...

Alright cool, I picked one up. Looks like shipping is delayed. They won't be in hand until the 7th of may. Plenty of time to do further damage, I'm sure. Any recommendations in the interim? I'm guessing I should hold off on that final transplant and flowering until these ladies are healthy...?

NP&K testing with one of these kits? https://www.hannainst.com/hi3896-hanna-soil-test-kit.html May be a while before I can do something like that, considering the world is in shutdown mode. But I have a PPM pen and I know my tap water is like 500 or so. I have an RO filter and a big bottle of...

Ok thanks for the advice. That all makes sense. You guys ever mess with soil moisture probes? I'm scared to stick one in the pot because they are so long. I figured it'd probably damage the root system. I've been reading about taking TDS measurements from the soil run off. You fine folks have a...
