    Cheap an easy. 1 1/4” schedule 40 PVC 20’ lengths bent over the plants placed over 1/2” x 3’ long rebar driven into the ground. Cover with greenhouse plastic or whatever.

    Good call, I didn’t. I hacked away about 6” below the affected area. If more problems pop up I’ll look for borers.

    Thanks… That’s a Humboldt Dream. She’s going to produce ! It keeps outgrowing my trellising and supports. The roof of the greenhouse behind is 8’ and that sunflower is 12+’

    Three 6 footer and a 9 footer. 6 footers are in raised beds made out of fruit bins. 9 footer is in the ground.

    I didn’t have my scope there and he only had a crappy one, but I would have been able to see spider mites or aphids. Doesn’t look like russet damage. Just on a few of the tops.

    Are you Cloning with 100% succes ??? How‍♂️

    I used to clone on a very large scale using just clonex and a diy misting cloner. I’d get 95+% success with hundreds going at a time. I’m not cloning anymore, but last spring I topped my 6 plants and just stuck the cuttings them in a tray with wet perlite and stuck a dome on it. 7 days later...

    I dried my stems 18-24” for 5-7 days and then transferred to big storage bins which for me has been a kind of cure. Then I fine trim and finish the cure in gallon glass jars.     Curing for edibles

    I don’t cure my edibles bud like I do my bud for smoking. I just dry it and then put it in a big plastic bag. curing does help to break down chlorophyll but I’m not sure how much help that is.

    my friend had a branch do the same thing. He chopped it just in case it started to infect the rest of the plant. He dried the buds. Weird thing is the next day he found a shitload of ladybug larvae on the plant.
