Tips - Germination and seedling phase in rockwool

Yep, as long as you have a decent air pump then spray should be coming off the water surface and wetting the clay pebbles, you can also take a jug of the res solution and pour it through the clay pebbles put pour it around the rockwool cube and not directly over it but I've never found it necessary

Tips - Germination and seedling phase in rockwool

Depends on germination method I guess, I just keep it simple and soak the cube overnight, shake out any excess and throw in the seed, the cube is wet enough then for the whole germination process until the seed has popped and it's in my system, now if your germinating in a shot glass and paper...

Tips - Germination and seedling phase in rockwool

Totally agree which is why you should only soak it overnight once before putting the seed in, people have this thing about constantly misting them and keeping them soaking wet so there is no oxygen.

Tips - Germination and seedling phase in rockwool

Yes move the rockwool cube into your system, people have issues because they are forever wetting the cube which causes damping off where the stem rots, plant the cube pretty deep in the clay pebbles like half way down, if you fill res to just under the net pot you should get water wicking up...

    Strange colour on leave

Looks like you just over fed them to start with but now your getting on top of it, just check your runoff PH and PPM every now and again to make sure the readings are close to your input values

    Strange colour on leave

New growth doesnt look to bad maybe a little droopy, what is your PH and PPM? You should be running your Coco like hydro in terms of PH so between 5.8-6.1 is a good range, you should be feeding daily to runoff to avoid nutrient salt build up in the medium and dont let the pot sit in the runoff...

    Strange colour on leave

Need pics in natural light as cant really see the colour, what I can see though are the serated leaf edges curling up which is normally heat stress, what are your temps, RH, what light you running and how close, what your growing in etc, the more info you give the more chance of someone...

Damn sorry to hear there is no improvement, are those holes on the rim of the net pot? If so definitely tape those up, yeah PH is all over the place when you have root rot, double, triple, quadruple check to make sure the res is 100% dark with no leaks

Strawberry Banana & Aventus OG DWC

Not sure if nute burn or to close to light......HELP(first time grow)

Your medium is probably 70/30 coco coir/perlite, do you know if the mix was pre buffered? I'm guessing it wasnt, it is an inert medium meaning it doesnt have any nutes in it all, you should have buffered the medium first, you also need to treat it like hydro so you need to PH your feeds between...

Just make sure the dutch master can be used with peroxide as otherwise your just wasting money as the peroxide will kill all bennies but not sure exactly what the dutch master stuff is? Definitely dont use peroxide with the great white

    Spots in leaves. Not sure

Yeah check those out mate and come back, your PH might be off but you could also have a salt buildup in the coco causing a lockout, you watering to a good amount of runoff each time?
  16. MrGreenFingers99

    Spots in leaves. Not sure

Have you checked the PH and PPM of your runoff to see if it's in line with your input PH and PPM?

Is this casued by PH problems (leaves are dry and brown)

Yes mate, i would take out the plant then go wash all the equipment with a peroxide solution then once all the equipment is washed you can fill your res with clean water and nutes and also peroxide but I dont know what the dilution rates should be as only ever used that silver bullet stuff. I...
