I bet it's your antivirus blocking it. I can't do it on this computer since my Antivirus blocks it and I don't want to turn it off. But it works fine on my old Ipad with no antivirus. Also nothing has asked me for a subscription. Maybe because my Ipad isn't running Windows. I don't know.
