    DIY with Quantum Boards

if I did that would have tasted salty. Currently in commercially available qty, XPG-3 G bin is the best Deep Red Available. I know the pr machine at osram has touted a better chip, but I dont know of anyone who has the top bin and using it(in volume), but happy to be instructed otherwise Cheers Mark

    4000W grow lights worth purchasing?

I think we need to lift your level of leducation a notch, you have a tent and then an open area. In order Tent is good just needs a better light The open area, fix it so the frame is more rigid to sustain weight of lights and completely cover with Mylar reflective material, reflectivity is key...

LED strip Lords. I need your guidance.

hi Gond00's, Im happy to drop you a coupon for the hassle. The issue was we attempted to use the metal wagos on the 14mm strips as a retrofit to make them 'solderless' in retrospect the pad was not big enough, we rectified this with the new 24mm wide strips by laying the board with the correct...

the 80 CRI Boost with 660nm lifts to 92-93 cri, but will test the new 3030 boost with some 90cri and 660 to see what affect to CRI is, im guessing a 2700k 90 with 660nm should make a nice flower board cheers Mark

What's the interest in growing with retail store LED bulbs?

Just because a light is 10 watts or 500 watts, does not mean it converts that to an effective 10/500 watts of radiant energy. you always need to know what the efficiency is, what umoles for unit of energy used is getting to the plant, without that knowledge watts is as useful as.. well its just not

    Guide me to the Light....

One of the nice things with the 2835 chip from Cree is it runs cool, I had a boost board sitting on the bench no sink at 40 watts yesterday and really did not get that hot, probably helps the 2835 is rated to 480ma which is high for a mid power. Our recommendations on heatsinking are somewhat...

Could really use some help...max efficacy 65PPF/SQft in an 8x8, please?

I would not say its a disconnect but 65PPFD per square foot is a big number relative to 1000PPFD on the canopy and suggests you want to hang em high, whats your height to canopy. 150 strips will give you very even 1000ppfd even at 36 inches but will be less that 40ppfd/sqf cheers

    Led fixture opinions?

its a moving target, will be best in 3030, but right now their 2835 is the best midpower, but I expect, both products will continue to improve in 2020 Cheers
