    Smell control

I use to run a carbon filter. Just one, and it didn’t eliminate smells completely. In peak flower you could definitely smell it inside and outside the house. Not crazy loud, but present. It was an oversized filter, but I think like others suggested you really need to double up if smell is a show...

Do you "taste" your flower during the drying/curing process?

A cut I ran for a while (and very sadly lost) first time sampling, thought it was good/decent, terps were strong, but the effect was nothing special. Came back to those jars two months later and was blown away by the effect. Some grail type stuff for me personally. Anyway sure enough on...

Do you "taste" your flower during the drying/curing process?

Nothing wrong with sampling. It’s funny bcuz some plants are perfectly ready to smoke as soon as they’re adequately dry, while others need a couple months in the jar to really shine and tell their whole story. And everything in between.

Do they make an AC for grow tents?

I agree the heat does add all up, but the 100w fixture isnt the main contributor to the problem I think is all we’re saying. It’s more of a overall too many appliances and too high ambient temps that is the problem. The temp problem anyway. I agree w/ @Jjgrow420 that these plants have had a...

Do they make an AC for grow tents?

100w and 150w old incandescent light bulbs got hot af and were terribly inefficient, but no one in their right mind ran an AC to cool one bulb off lol

Do they make an AC for grow tents?

I have a couple of 2x2’s with 100 watt fixtures, and I just have a cheap fan blowing over the fixture in each tent. It doesn’t get hot lol. Barely warm to the touch. They also have a small ac infinity pancake fan exhausting air form one of the upper duct ports. And really that isnt necessary so...

    Looking for tips

Hard to say why they got pollinated. I think anyone would just be guessing at this point. Longer veg time to get those roots filling out your pot. Also up-potting will help, instead of going directly to your 5 gallon (assuming this is what you’re doing)

Ever use a dry ash catcher?

it’s all the same. what they sell as dry catchers you still put water in. only difference is that one has a perc of some kind, the other (dry catcher) the idea is the ashes hit the surface of the water, but the smoke is not water filtrated via a perc.

    Defoliation

They look great, barring any major screw-ups (unlikely), you’re gonna have yourself some nice hand grenades there! The mold thing is real, but is also a genetic thing. I think you have enough tops you’ll be fine. I usually grow single cola on purpose because I like to know what their mold game...

    Defoliation

Generally I like to lollitop or whatever its called. I think you probably went a little extreme tho. Your buds are now set there, no more stretch to be had. You could’ve gotten some better stacking by letting them stretch a little more before waxing her under-carriage.

    CSI humboldt thread

Like a legit og should look. I’m glad his worked out. All of mine threw balls lots and lots of balls in the first couple weeks of flower. Was weird honestly. ~20 plants in the room, and only those went nuts. They weren’t even lanky, they were short and squat, very hardy and vigorous and were...

    Defoliation

I wouldn’t remove anything else at this point. Og’s I’ve grown from cut had great lowers, better than most. Just super lanky stems. Looks funny seeing big nugs on tiny twigs. The only trick to training was keeping it low during veg. I would do very selective pruning of lowers, a lot less than...

Organic for new growers, dont bother with bottles...

Ugh it kills me to see the carpet. It’s all getting ripped out soon. Now if i can stop buying seeds I might be able to use the weed budget toward some flooring. The real challenge is my wife though because if I come home with a truck full of flooring for the grow room she’s going to be mad I’m...

Organic for new growers, dont bother with bottles...

And what does that have to do with a thread on organics you ask? Well I’m here to tell you all about “carpet organics” folks. Carpets have a thriving microbial herd, and the best way to keep them healthy is to skip the vacuum. You wouldn’t flush your soil, so why would you vacuum your carpet? My...

Organic for new growers, dont bother with bottles...

I’m running DTW now and it’s watering itself for 10 days while I’m away. Building it all out is somewhat tedious and pricey, but once up and running, I just sit back, watch, and only add water and feed to the res. Couldn’t be any simpler.
