Yeah I run a total of 500 watts in a 3x5 (HLG350R + a 150 watt HLG DIY fixture). Which is ~33 watts/sq.ft. 650 watts in a 3x3 is ~72 watts/sq.ft. You probably never need to run higher than 50% power in that setup
